I just had my first visit to Fortune Star. The food was very good. The comment about natural vegetables was dead on. Â I would not recommend the soup or it may have just been a bad batch. The food was great and reasonably priced. The food was not salty like chinese food usually is. I will definitely be going back.
Review Source:Dinner for two "special" is not so special when you get charged extra for things that are supposed to be included according to the menu. Only have bottled/canned drinks. Dirty tables. Limited seating. Price for dinner for two "special" and two 24 oz bottles of Pepsi was $28. That being said...the food was very good and portions were huge. It was a dinner for two that could actually feed four. The beef was amazingly tender. So, for the price we ended up with plenty of leftovers which kinda averages out. Will try again but will order one meal to share for takeout. We were ready to rate this one star, but the taste of the food earned it two more.
Review Source:Best. Egg-rolls. Ever. Nuff' said about that.
We are staying at the Flying J overnight and REALLY did not want truck-stop food again as it is is SO salty and disgusting. Looked across the street and almost squealed with delight when I saw this Chinese restaurant.
We had the General Tso chicken with fried rice, hot and spicy shrimp with white rice and the "Happy Ending" with white rice which was beef, chicken, crab-meat and shrimp with sauteed mushrooms.
It was all so DELICIOUS. Fresh, smoking hot and with so much wonderful Asian flavor. The service was great (even though we had our food to-go) and we only ended up paying about 26$.
If you're EVER in the Temple, Georgia area and are looking for some authentic Chinese food in a cute little restaurant, then Fortune Star is the place to go. (Try the General Tso...yummy!)
