The food was great, but the service was sub par.  My husband and I sat at the bar and the bartender that was working was pretty quick to get us some drinks.  The food order, on the other hand, was slow.  I was given the wrong side with my burger, which is no big deal...I'm not fussy!  But, there was a grey haired lady with glasses at the end of the bar, which might have been the manager or owner.  She was giving the bartender quite the ear full for messing up another order that was almost identical  to our order.  Oops he picked up the wrong plate.  Not the end of the world!  It would be different if the portion of fries vs chips was huge and there was money lost, but it was only a hand full of fries.
I have worked in the restaurant/bar business and there is one thing you never do in front of customers...yell at your employees. Â It really put a damper on our experience and made it awkward for the bartender serving us. Â I hope who ever she was, reads this and learns that she is hurting business and leaving people with a bad taste in their mouths.
I read in an earlier review that the wait was a bit long, but worth it. Â I concur!
The wait wasn't as bad as I expected (despite our 6:30 pm arrival) and the food was great!
My husband had the burger which he rated a 9.8 out of 10 stars, and he said the beer-battered fries are WAY better than the chips. Â I had the fish-n-chips and they were very good. Â I upgraded my "chips" to onion rings. Â Our kids had no comment either.
It's a bit loud...very "bar" atmosphere...but not so bad that we couldn't talk to each other.
We would recommend this place to anyone and would come again.
Stopped in for their famous Bloody Mary on Saturday. Ordered the F & L house salad with grilled chicken, they have a great house dressing. Bill tried the Foster and Login 5 WAY.. spagetti with 5 chili fixins. Â He would order again. The bar help is friendly and the food is reasonably priced. Â Lots of beers on tap, no miller lite, sweet potatoe fries were good. Â It can get busy in there quickly and not always alot of staff
Review Source:Stopped over on New Year's Day for lunch. Interesting atmosphere and it didn't smell too much like a bar, thanks to the bar being non-smoking.
We were seated quickly and we each ordered a buffalo burger topped with pepper jack cheese. The burgers were tasty and the pepper jack cheese was outstanding - it appeared to be homemade and was good and spicy. The beer-battered fries were delicious and well worth the extra $1.
If you are near Red Lodge, stop over and check Foster and Logan's out. They even serve Red Lodge Ales, from the town's microbrewery.
Mixed review based on lunch. Â The chicken chili got raves, but the pulled pork sandwich tasted gamey, and the roast beef on ciabatta was quite pedestrian. Â Sweet potato fries need to be crispier. Â And if you're gonna serve non-homemade salsa, please don't make it the ever-boring Pace. Â Bleagh.
The bathroom wasn't the ugliest I've seen, but it was pretty hideous.
