I highly recommend the cat fish. The portions are huge and come with hush puppies. The prices area fairly reasonable. The décor is interesting. Spiderman and Tulley from Monster's Inc seems a bit out of place. I think that adds to part of the wildness of this restaurant/bar. Their happy hour coronas were a dollar a piece. Not bad. Some people ordered their burgers, not really worth getting. They are kind of small and do not come with more toppings unless you want to pay $1 per extra topping. You can always steal jalapenos from the nachos for your burger! That's a good tip!  :)
Review Source:WHERE DO I BEGIN???
Work has us stuck in the middle of nowhere during the NHL playoffs. Â Apparently the ONLY place in town with TVs is this place. Â
POSITIVE:
+Habenero Jack cheese for my burger? Â Not fucking bad!
IN BETWEEN:
-/+ Twilight zone? Â I get the beach thing, but with the 80s jet ski and water skis displayed, it's starting to look more like you decorated the place with random shit that washed up on shore. Â
NEGATIVE:
-Pretty much the only purpose for our visit was to have beers and watch the NHL playoffs. Â 20 something TVs and literally NO ONE can figure out how to change a channel without changing ALL of the TVs.
-Upon arrival we were TOLD, not asked to deal with the slow service that was about to come... now I understand it's a weeknight, but the place looked rather empty other than a table of 10 of our buddies that got there earlier. Â If 10 additional people to your normal workload throws you off your game, that's not saying a lot for your establishment.
-Food took forever to come out... Â Once again... the place is damn near empty. Â Food comes out... Â OH! Â That's why it took forever... Â You had to cook my boy's medium rare steak to well done. Â Not even a line of pink. Â Oh I see why? Â It's thin as fuck... yet you charge the same as establishments with steaks twice this thick. Â
-My other pal talked shit about his philly chicken sandwich too, but I think he was just pissed that he couldn't get a water after we threw in the towel on watching the game since they couldn't figure out how to change a channel. Â
BOTTOM LINE:
I could go on with the negatives, but what's the point? Â This place has to live with itself and unfortunately for the local area... Â it's pretty much the only game in town.
Came on Sunday night, Memorial Day weekend, around 9ish. Â Â Wanted to check out the "beach club" and was charged a $10 cover, although it was my understanding that no cover was charged before 10pm. Â "Holiday weekend," I was told. Â Â We grudgingly paid and walked through the Saloon to the EMPTY beach club. Â Our bartender pried herself away from her conversation with the other employees and I paid $16 for a Patron on the rocks (more than I pay in NYC!). Â We left the EMPTY beach club and went back to the Saloon, which also hadn't really filled up yet as it was too early (too early to pay a cover!). Â The Saloon seems like a fine spot to hang out, but as they charge $30 for a pizza and $5 for a slice plus an arbitrary cover--I would have to think twice about coming back if in the area.
Review Source:Where to begin?? I am in a very rural dry county visiting family for a month. About to loose my mind I call my brother to take me out for a night of dancing and drinks. Missing the Miami lifestyle he decides to take me across the state line to a club that has a beach theme. Lighted palm trees, fun lighting, awesome DJ, smoke, two floors, nice size dance floor.
Woah, we walk in and I was very much impressed. Could not wait to get the night started. I felt like a lion that had been in a cage for years. I knew there would be no stopping me. This was going to be a fun filled night. The bartenders were very friendly, prices were reasonable, no waiting for drinks, it was perfect.
The music was pumpin, smoke filling the dance floor, men standing around afraid to ask women to dance. I grab my sister-in-law because I just could not compose myself any longer. Upon our return finally there were a few normal, confident men that were dancing with me all night. I met some great fun people and the night was a huge hit. Sweaty, hot, I did not care it was a blast!
If you are looking for a nice clean club with friendly bartenders, cool DJ's, awesome decor, and want a fun time look no further this place has good times to be had. Huge inside with another separate room with a live band.
Disclaimer: If you are a guy wanting to score, do not stand around the dance floor just starring, ask the girls to dance and by all means dudes buy them some drinks.....hell there cheap.....
Very cool place that I will revisit upon my return. Age's were mainly 20's to 30's with some 40 plus.....plus.....
This place is probably a 3, but based alone on the entree that I ordered it's a definite solid 4 stars. Â Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the entree, but it's some cajun shrimp concoction, served on grit cakes. Â --I know how it sounds, but just try it, you won't be disappointed. Â No doubt, Freddy T's is probably a happenin' place on the wknds. Â (Even considering the eclectic decor that is reminiscent of something out of a FL beach joint).
