  i have heard of their great burritos for years. i was not impressed. 15$ for a chimichanga and it was terrible. our bill was over 40$ for 3 meals and 2 sodas. our waitress, whos name was sissy, had the voice and mannerisms of someone who has been hard drinking whiskey and smoking pall malls for over 50 years or so. this was a very sad and dissapointing experience. the food is not anywhere near the hype or the prices.

  A small saloon in a small town off of I-75, The Frederic Inn surprises!  It seems to be known for it's burritos, but I have fallen in love with the homemade chicken noodle soup.  It is beyond delicious!  Loaded with carrots and celery, the broth is to die for.  Even the noodles are homemade!  I have also had the cheese burgers here and they, too, are delish.  Worth a visit if you are heading north or south on 75 and are hungry.

  The good ole Frederic Inn!
  
  Many a time I have begged my dad to take me here to get out of eating "camping food." Seldom did he give in.
  
  We came here to help the Northern Michigan economy but it didn't seem like it really needed our help since the place was packed.
  
  Smokey but bearable.
  
  I got the wet burrito to see if it was as glorious as I remembered (or if I was just happy to eat "non-camping food"). It is huge, and loaded with beans, meat and fresh veggies--yum. My husband helped me finish it and we did not move for the next 2-3 hours.
  
  Cheap beer, too. I shall return.
