This is the only restaurant within walking distance of scenic Canadohta Lake. They definitely take advantage of that fact. However, it could be a lot worse.
The service was fine when my extended family ate dinner here and the food was decent. A few of us are vegetarians and there weren't many options, but that is to be expected. The "saddle" (frog leg) eaters were satisfied. However, a few nights prior a few of us wanted dessert. We walked into the almost-empty restaurant (just beyond the pet store-smelling lobby) and were approached by a worker. "Do you want some food or something? We sent all our waitresses home." (Mind you, we arrived at about 8:30 pm and the restaurant ws open until at least 10). "Uh...we would like dessert, please." He brought us menus, but did not take us to a table. Eventually someone who looked very much like a waitress appeared and finally sat us. We ordered ice cream sundaes (I think this was our only option, but I could be wrong) and they were perfectly acceptable. Over all, our experience made for a good Canadohta Lake story, so don't let me scare you away.
Well compared to just about everything else around here it's pretty good. Standard sports bar fare and surprisingly good frog legs. Avoid the nachos, however. Worse than at a stadium unless you're big on canned cheese. Be prepared to take a few dozen laps climbing the stairs to the water slide to work off any of the food.
