You'd be crazy not to check this classic watering hole out if you are in Napavine. I've only been here in the early morning for red beers and their diner style, dirt-cheap breakfast, but I can only imagine what this place is like on a busy Friday night. It may look like an unassuming family restaurant at first glance, but if the signed 8x10 glossy of Molly Hatchet and infinite 80's beer signs that adorn the walls are any indication, I'd say this place is a true roadhouse that has certainly seen it's share of rowdy times. Service and value is on par with the venue so set your expectations to "old school small town tavern" before you think about ordering a blended mojito. I wouldn't expect a gourmet meal or anything fancy from the bar in a spot like this, but the devoted locals undoubtedly treasure the history and character of Frosty's. Only drawback is that the trains that pass behind the building are deafeningly loud and rattle the windows. However, there is something called the Train Game that involves discounts on drinks depending on what barstool you are sitting in when a train goes by. So hey, trains are ok I guess.
Review Source:I had written a not so good review back in April and since then I have decided to give them another try. Â I have been pleased with how I was treated ever since. Â I call ahead on my order and the waitress doublechecks how long it will take to make the chicken and it has been ready on time each time. Â Big difference.
Review Source:Frosty's is a very popular, funky tavern (with a full bar) in a small town. Â The place gets quite busy during the dinner hour, so we choose to get there in the mid afternoon whenever possible, especially if we are going to order the chicken. The food is always great. Â The salad bar is excellent and the plates are huge. The prices are low and the wait staff is engaging and sweet. Â Kids are welcome in the place until 9pm. Â The environment is a little bit country, retro, biker, trash with just the right amount of dive thrown in for that, "I can't believe I found this joint!" feel. Â Sign out back says, "established 1901" and the menu inside the back door is signed by all the members of Molly Hatchet. Â Doesn't get cooler than that.
