Simply too sweet!!!  I don't understand why people gave five stars but it was just awful chinese food in my opinion.   We ordered schwan chicken and it was just too sweet.   We ordered something with waitresses recommendation, but that was even sweeter.   Even their sweet and sour soup was too sweet, but not sour.

However, the service was really good.  Waitress was very attentive.  That is the only reason for two stars.

It is not a bad Chinese restaurant. Since they had a new ownership change a few years ago, it has been better. Their meals are tasty and hearty. I usually get the Hot and Sour soup and it is adequate. The overall taste is pretty good and I would usually recommend it.

One of the issues I have is with the service. It isn't that great. On top of that, it can be disgusting. I had the cook bring out a soup to my table. Instead of putting the soup on a plate, he brought it holding it on the rim with his thumb actually in the soup. I didn't eat anything because seeing his dirty fingernails in the soup totally turned me off.

The taste is fine, considering it is southern Illinois, but the "finger in soup" episode has made it that I will more than likely not go. If you can get past that, then you are fine. It tastes good and is a good meal

Definitely one of the best American Chinese food restaurants around. I'm talking old school american Chinese, in all it's batter dipped, bright orange sweet and sour sauced glory. I had the dinner special, which comes with a spare rib, crab rangoon and a huge pork egg roll for your app, a choice of a cup of hot and sour soup or wonton soup, and an entree with your choice of white or fried rice. All this for only $10.95. And the portions are huge. I got the Mongolian beef, which was tasty with crunchy bits of deep fried rice noodles mixed in. Yum! The hot and sour soup was more sweet than sour, but it was def spicy and had good bits of mushrooms, wood ear (that weird looking black fungus stuff) and tofu, rather than the brothy concoctions you find elsewhere. The hubs doesn't even like egg rolls but he ate half of mine and his own. In the end, we took enough home for another 2 meals.

There were new people working there and they were super nice. Our waiter was waiting on all the tables and that dude was basically running to each one. He was super efficient.

Forget the all you can eat buffets and head out to the Full Moon House, in the Rural King plaza in Benton.

Best Chinese I've had...and I've been around the block to a lot of Chinese joints.  No buffet here...all cooked fresh and cooked to order.  Lunch prices are rock bottom and you get a pile of food.  Dinner is a multiple course event.

If your in Benton avoid the chains and spring for the authentic Chinese!
