Other reviews led me to believe that the Gala-T-Inn would be on par with a Gourmet Pizza Company, but nothing could be further from reality. All the ingredients here taste frozen, canned, or somehow worse. It is one of the only restaurants in Hartford, but I would advise driving for an extra fifteen to twenty minutes to go somewhere else.
Review Source:They're delicious. The pizza is not quite what you get at a chain pizza place--which is a good thing. I've never even had their other dishes because the pizza is a hit with everyone I've been there with.
The family size pizza feeds a small army, and they have lots of topping choices. Their newer chicken and ranch pizza is awesome, and I don't even really like ranch!
Plus, the statue thing outside is kind of cool-the dude looks like he's holding a huge cake in the winter with all the snow on top.
This is a local staple and a family favorite. I love the family sized Gala-T special. There is something uniquely delicious about their pizza and I always stuff my face when I am here. Although I no longer live in the area, I have fond memories and look forward to visiting my parents and getting a "pizza night" out of the deal.
Just a note: their carry out section is seperate from the main area. Just follow the signs.
