On the drive from Key West to Miami we stopped here for breakfast. Yelp pointed me in the right direction yet again! We sat on the patio and sipped our coffee discussing the trip and how sad we were to leave. Locals started pouring in and then I knew the food must be tasty.
I ordered the Crab Cakes Benedict and it was ahhhhhmazing! I got the homefries with is and those were great. I almost licked the plate clean. The crab cakes were so fresh and light with a bit of a kick. And the eggs were poached perfectly. Yum!
My boyfriend ordered the Seafood Omelette which was a special of the day. He loved it.
This is a great place to stop for some yummy food right on the highway.
I know, everybody always gives 5 stars, but I see no reason not to w/ this place. Don't know about bad service, we're here in high season and the service is still quick & friendly. Wife's omelette much better than many had back home in Manhattan, & my over-easy eggs were cooked perfectly. If you like sausage, I recommend the scrapple! Yes, parking is quite tight, & also realize it's on the ocean side - directions we had didn't mention that.
Review Source:I hope this place is still open, but its been a good 10 years since I've been down that way to see it.
Back when I had family living in the area (both Summerland and Ramrod), this was always the place to go for breakfast. Sausage Biscuits and Gravy were to die for, as were the eggs. I recall something on the menu called the "Belly Bomb" which was essentially the left side of the menu with extra gravy.
Its right on Rt. 1 (mile marker 25) so if you are driving down to Key West from Miami or beyond it would be in your interest to plan on stopping here for breakfast. Just show up hungry.
