Galway Bay Irish Pub and Restaurant

Great food ! Great atmosphere ! I had fish n chips it was awesome , husband had the pastry with the lamb in it , it was so tasty! They had live music, and a pool table/ darts room. So glad we went here for dinner and drinks!

Galway Bay is far better than you might expect in a summer resort town, at least in terms of ambiance (Irish pub), and service.  Seating is comfortable and the noise level is acceptable.  They have a good selection of beer.  What more could you want?

Well you could want good food.  And what you get, for fine dining prices, is blah.  Dull.  Not bad but not good enough so that you want to finish your portion.  And that's saying something for me, because I almost always want to finish my portion.

One standout: fresh baked soda bread.

I could be nice and give Galway Bay four stars, but the setup (ambiance, service, beer, soda bread) really raises your expectations, and then they are dashed.  Not good.  Sorry.

Who would have thought that one of the yummiest Irish pubs would be in Ocean Shores. We sometimes drive 3 hours from Seattle to eat there.  Try the Baileys steak. It's worth the drive!
