Salad bar with pasta and soup was awesome and pizza was to die for! Service is incredible!

I realize that I'm going against the general consensus here. Maybe the place was having an off day. I waked in, and the hostess seemed like she really did not want to be there. That's okay; I have off days, too. The waitress was better, but still not really very friendly. I was there early for lunch, so the place only had maybe six or seven customers inside. Maybe it was just too quiet, but a concrete floor with their metal legged chairs moving on it sounded like someone scratching their fingernails on a blackboard. It's very nice inside, but that sound really overwhelmed the pleasant atmosphere.

A couple of clients said the lunch buffet was a good deal at $7.99 plus drink. I opted to try it. The salad bar had two choices of dressing, Italian or ranch. The choice of salad vegetables was almost as meager. There were a couple of tasty pasta salads though. The lasagna was greasy, almost as though they didn't drain the ground beef. It was also on the sweet side. The stuffed rigatoni had already begun to get cold. The eggplant was fair, but it too was a little oily. I did not try the pizza. Maybe I should have. I understand it's a local favorite.

For this type of lunch dining, it is a good value. I really wanted to be impressed, but regretfully I wasn't.

Love everything about Giovanni's except their pizza always upset my stomach but I don't mind because I only ever order Chicken Parmesan. I think I've tried everything on the menu and its to DIE for. It's warm, moist and gooey and feels like comfort food. Also everything on the menu is reasonably priced for the quality of food.  I hope they never leave!

Driving through on the way to Florida, and husband had a craving for Italian. We stopped here on a whim, and we're very glad! Food was great with only small downfalls (lettuce not fresh & onions in scampi that weren't in the description.)
Otherwise, great service and very tasty food!

I was up from Montgomery meeting some family for lunch. This is a really good restaurant; I wish I lived a bit closer. I got the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. The pizza looked really good as the owner was walking around serving everyone.

Service here was very good! And the food was really good also! The price is a little much but it was worth it!

Giovanni's has now moved to a location on US 280, next to the Pickle Patch Market.
Check out my food shots from our recent Sunday brunch.... Still my top pick for Italian food!!!
