Giovanni's Main Street Kitchen

It's the best Italian restaurant in Wauchula, unfortunately its not a very good Italian restaurant.  The salad bar was mediocre.  I had the Chicken Napoli.  The chicken was rubbery and tough.  The sauce was too salty.  There were a number of tables having pizza, so maybe that's better choice.

O.K., I will admit that I have pretty high standards when it comes to Italian food. I come from the Chicago area. I went to Italy to cooking school. That said, my husband and I both agree that this was probably one of the worst Italian meals we've ever had in our lives.
Our first clue should have come when the waitress needed to borrow my pen to take our order. The next clue might have been the fact that she forgot to tell us our meal included a salad bar until after she set our meal in front of us. The third clue may have been the fact that one of the waitresses was serving food while she drank a Pepsi!  All of that would have been o.k. if our veal marsala hadn't tasted like a pre-cooked hunk of breading smothered in mozarella cheese and drowned in sauce that had to have been made much earlier in the week.  Does that even sound like veal marsala to you??? Needless to say we won't be returning to Giovanni's Main Street Kitchen.

the food is real good here and the service is good also. If you are ever here, order the tiramisu for dessert. I have never had any that was as good as I have eaten here.
