Gip's Place

Mr. Gip Gipson has been having Saturday night backyard parties in his backyard since 1952.  Each Saturday night he invites old and new friends to his party; people bring their own refreshments and enjoy the music that Mr. Gip has lined up for the evening.  It's a little tricky to find so make sure you have a GPS or call for directions.  Mr. Gip loves meeting new people and spreading the love of music and fellowship.
People come from all over the world to visit this LAST juke joint in the state.  Articles on Mr. Gips parties have been published in many magazines and newspaper, including the NY Times.  
There is NO color at Mr. Gips parties.  Rich or poor; black or white; we are all the same!

It's a shack in a man's garden where everyone is invited...always.
One if tnot the ONLY last blues juke-joint still open in Alabama.
People come all over the world to see this (I came from canada_and I would have flew from France when I lived there) to experience this true, genuine, uniquely American experience.
Ask around to find the address...everybody knows...Gip's live on the "other side of the tracks".
