The Golden Steer

Always have the New York Strip if you are in the mood for a good steak and if its a burger you're after you can't beat the swiss and shroom.  Also try the special seasoning and ketchup they provide on the table.

I am passing through Ainsworth and it is the only place that one can get a drink with dinner.  I ordered the Angus burger as close to medium rare as they can cook it and it came out well done.  The server offered to knock a dollar off .  :-)  Their version of a garden salad as a side with the burger is a small plate of ice burg lettuce with a few croutons on it.  I am sorry, but since when is lettuce considered a salad?  

On the up side the two server / bar tenders in the bar area could not have worked harder to please.  I left a $7.00 tip on a tab of $22.62.  As they are working their butts off to service this place.

If the burger had been cooked as I had ordered it, it would have been good.

Chicken fried steak and ribeye, both excellent. CFS nice batter & flavor, ribeye a little tough but great flavor. Better than anything back home in Florida so far.
