Goochy Goo BBQ

Recently dined here for lunch with spouse and friends. There is an expanded menu with items previously not available. I enjoyed the tenderloin sandwich. It's not a monster but it is a reasonable size and good flavor. Several in the group had catfish filets and enjoyed them. I heard some good comments on the onion rings.

One now orders at the table from the new menu. The BBQ is still there and just as good as ever but for someone wanting some variety, they now have more selections beyond the great BBQ

I moved to MISSOURI 5 years ago and had yet to find a BBQ place worth of KC BBQ's reputation. This little mom and pop BBQ place is the best freshest BBQ I've found . I tried the Beef Brisket , very tender and well seasoned. Its almost impossible to find quality brisket this moist in a chain restaurant. I also had the chicken, pulled pork and pork ribs, all were fresh and moist and had not been sitting in a smoke locker for 2 or 3 days like most area BBQ seemed to be. The Cole slaw was pretty good and the Mac and cheese was very tasty and defiantly homemade. The staff was friendly and they have all you can drink / help yourself soda fountain. Not upscale in the least, but that's how BBQ should be. If your in the St Joseph area or passing thru hwy 29, its worth the 10 min drive out of your way.
