Omelet wraps cooked to order as you watch. Excellent service. Excellent food. Unique decor. Â The cook was making eight different omelets for eight people at once on the grill as we all stood and watched and he was never confused about which one belonged to which person. Â The tables and stools appeared to be unique and hand crafted works of art. Â Several of the tables were made from surf boards. Â The guys working there were all very good looking.
Review Source:Simply the best! Delicious, filling breakfast burritos with several options for the picky eaters (my husband doesn't like eggs- not a problem!!!). So great because of location as well as the fact that there are not that many places to eat in door county where you can grab a hearty breakfast and go without sitting down. One of our favorite places in dc and we go every time we are in town. Staff is super!
Review Source:If you blink, you will miss this place. Â It sits right on the corner of Rt. 42 and Brookside Lane (before The Confectionery if heading north). Â Tiny little building that sits off the road a little bit.
The most delicious breakfast burrito I have ever tasted. Â With a very simple menu (with several options) and a few beverage choices, this place is definitely a stop you need to make while in Door County!! Â You will not be disappointed.
Enjoy!!
WOW!!! An absolute great way to start your day. Â Good eggs is busy and for good reason. Â They make great breakfast burrito wraps. Â They make them fresh right in front of you with plenty of options. Â They are served with your choice of wraps and they are piping hot when you get them. Â Really delicious. Â Coffee is Alterra and is so good. Â The place is small and inviting. Â We ate at a table made out of a surf board. Â The guys working the place are really easy to talk to and super curtious. Â I would recommend eating here at least once during the weekend. Â You probably don't even need lunch after eating here. Â My wife had the basic and I had the standard. Â So filling and tasty.
Review Source:Probably the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Very cool experience coming here, because it's very small, and the owner himself takes your order and makes your food. I like the simplicity of it, and the food is really well done. The burrito is nice and hearty too. We ate here and were satisfied for most of the rest of the day.
Unless you get here kind of early, there's probably going to be a line, but that's part of the experience. You might have to wait a little while, but the food is worth it, and they have Alterra coffee, which I love.
Good Eggs is about as simple as it comes, but thats what makes it great. Â There are three employees. Â Two cutting veggies, cracking eggs, etc... and the other is the main cook with a griddle right next to where you order. Â He ask simple questions and you provide simple answers. Â Its similar to a shack you would find on a beach in the Carribbean and the view is equally as good. Â The tables are made of old surfboards and it was busy. Â
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I had to wait 30 minutes just to order!!! Â However, being that I was on vacation, I figured the wait was worth it and so I waited. Â It was definitely worth it! Â
Simple menu of egg burrito's with seasonal veggies. Â Love it...
Always fantastic. Â We have been coming since 2003 or so. Formula is still the same and we still love it. Due to the boys' egg allergy, they had smoothies. Tom and I had delicious burritos and a nice cup of alterra coffee. The best part for the kids was sitting at surfboard tables. Cool breeze from the lake!! Â Highly recommended.
Review Source:Great made to order breakfast burritos. Â Some organic coffee options. Â Good music playing over the speakers. Â
It's not a knock against the place by any means, but be aware that this isn't a sit down place with waiter service. Â Other than the made to order burritos they've got some sweets, but that's about it. Â If there are ten of you the first person to get their food will have finished it by the time the last person gets their order.
Good Eggs is awesome. Â Simple menu, its made for you right there and you can eat your meal on a surfboard. Â In Door County, Wisconsin. Â How cool is that? Â
My s/o and I have gone there the two times we've spent in Door Cty. and there is absolutely no reason we would not go there other than we were farther away than was practical to drive. Â
What's cool is that the owner and his s/o run the place out of what amounts to a small 15x20-ish converted cabin, you get your OJ or coffee or tea, and then you can get muffins, scones, a smoothie or breakfast wrap in...eh...for lack of memory, small, standard, and large (the difference is that you can get eggs & meat, eggs & veggies, eggs & veggies & meat.)
Its cooked up in front of you on the small grill, then you can opt for cheese, black beans, diced red potatoes or hot sauce (that you get to add to your taste,) and then it gets wrapped nice and tight. Â That in itself is enough to fill you up for a few hours at the least. Â And while you are waiting, you can either chat it up or read one of the issues of National Geographic lying around. Â This time when my s/o and I were eating out back, their dog (Jack, I believe,) nudged his frisbee towards us indicating that he wanted to play. Â So we did.
To summarize, if a wrap is what you want, you won't go wrong at Good Eggs.
"Best breakfast in Door County for under $10," they told us.
When the B&B innkeeper can make an enthusiastic breakfast recommendation other than their own amazing muffins or homemade granola, you know the place has to be good. And it sooooo is.
Fresh-made breakfast burritos, done on the spot with all fresh ingredients, eight at a time. Basic, veggie or deluxe (veggie+choice of meat). We split a veggie (they're HUGE) on a cilantro wrap and opted for a fresh-squeezed OJ to accompany. A fine, fine choice.
Dining space is mostly outdoors, and if there are more than eight people in line, you might have to wait a while to get your wrap. But it's one of those phenom places that is worth waiting in line for.
I'm told they also do made-to order grilled cheese in the p.m. (choose a bread, choose a cheese). Good for kids!
Do it like a local: don't offer more information about your order than directly asked for. When he asks you if you want the black bean salsa, the answer is YES. Wish they sold that stuff in jars. Mmmm MMM. Cilantro wrap complements perfectly.
AWESOME breakfast place! One of the most well run restaurants in Door County.
They offer breakfast wraps from basic, standard to deluxe. Topping out below $10 with the BEST ingredients: veggies, meat (3 choices) and rosemary potatoes, choice of cheese and all wrapped in a tortilla. Â YUM!
The decor is great. It's a surfer cabana style, with seating outside on the water. Coffee by Alterra, smoothies and juices are also available.
Sometimes busy it is easy to find: by the Confectionary on the main drag in Ephraim on HWY 42. Â
EAT AT GOOD EGGS!
another gem in ephraim.
sometimes my coworkers and i would skip out of work for a half hour just to get to good eggs before it closed. Â the basic wraps are filled with potato, your choice of cheese and egg. Â you get to choose plain, spinach or tomato flavored tortillas. Â one step up is the veggie wrap -- you can pick from a variety of fresh veggies to add to your breakfast burrito. Â lastly, you can add meat -- sausage, bacon or ham (maybe there are others, i can't remember). Â
i usually just get the basic. Â it's enough to fill you up -- sometimes it's hard to even get through the whole thing! Â
they also have a smoothie bar. Â they serve coffee and juices. Â
plenty of outdoor seating -- cute tables made from surfboards! Â good for people watching. Â in addition, since the meals are wraps, you can easily take them to-go and stroll around the shores of ephraim. Â
it used to close at 1 (hence why we used to skip out on work) but i hear they now offer lunch wraps and are open 'til 3. Â i am stoked to check out what they are.
sometimes there can be a wait since it is a small place and there is only one grill, but it's worth it. Â the owner is generally friendly and so is the staff.
definitely good eggs! :)
