Strawberries are one of Nature's perfect items in my view. Â
Pick 'em - wash'em - eat 'em. [repeat until content]
Goodson Farms has a cash and carry facility next to their shipping terminal [something MANY more produce places should have frankly].
Along with their strawberries there are a couple concession items available like (I believe) the errant hot dog or such plus a couple of strawberry based items like a "strawberry pizza" and the fundamental shortcake with whipped cream and our main character.
It is hard to fail here so don't go there looking to be overly impressed. Â At the end of the day it is a higher profile fruit stand.
That said, however, they do a good job at moving their product through a very nice little storefront. Â If you are in the area and consume these little delights it would be shameful not to support USA grown and competitively priced produce.
Great place to get a delicious strawberry shortcake. Â I got the one with the option of having ice cream on top. Â Their cake is the best I have ever gotten. Â If you prefer a cake instead of a bisquit in your strawberry shortcake, this is the place for you. Nice seating outside for you to enjoy a beautiful day in Florida while also enjoying the tasty Florida strawberries they have here.
Review Source:So I'm lost in the middle of nowhere and this oasis appears with a ton of cars in the parking lot. Hmmm I say to myself, it must be something cool and I was right.
Goodson Farms has fresh veggies but the star of the show is the strawberry shortcake, yum, yum! Having been to the strawberry festival and other like events I really wasn't that excited about ordering the shortcake but unlike other places I'm betting that they make their actually cake in house as it was delicious!
If you're also lost in the area make sure and stop by, it's fun.
Enjoy!
We go to Goodson's a couple times a season and often take guests. Â We're never disappointed. Â "The Works strawberry shortcake" is to die for! Â I had never had a pressed Cuban sandwich before I had one there. Â Now i LOVE THEM!!! Â Â The freshly picked produce is also great but it's the shortcakes and the Cuban sandwichs that bring us back.
They aren't open on Sundays and they close at 5:00 p.m. Â But they now take credit cards.
Before my mother passed away she was in a nearby assisted living facility and they often took buses to Goodson's. Â It was a favorite destination for them too.
