Grandma Max's Restaurant

This place was disgusting. It used to have such a great reputation; however, I stopped for dinner the other night while traveling and the service sucked and so did the Nachos! Yuck. And the bathrooms were disgusting as well. Keep driving!

Found ourselves here after a long drive from Las Vegas en route to Chicago.  Maybe it was because we were tired and weren't expecting anything good near the border of Colorado and Nebraska, but this place was great!

Being 24/7 was a Godsend, since we arrived really late, and considering how little we saw along the road up to this point, it was a great surprise.

Chili was excellent, and so were the sandwiches (we were going to order the chicken cobb, but were steered toward the chicken breast with bacon, and it was delicious).  The rest of the menu was pretty darn expansive.

I pass by here at breakfast time once a year and stop in for a cinnamon roll.  It is good (not great, but good).
