I give 3 stars only because the pizza/food is usually good. Service/wait makes me wonder why we return...

Every time I come here I find that its either good, or bad. But the drinks are always good. But I enjoy the service. Very friendly staff.

Came here for breakfast after my husband and I checked out of the Plaza Hotel. We probably would have gone to McDonald's instead (and I wish we had), but we tried Green Mill because the hotel gave us a two-dollar gift certificate that we thought made sense to use.

The first bad decision was choosing Green Mill for breakfast. The second bad decision was agreeing to the buffet. Waffles! French toast! Eggs! Sausage! Bacon! Cereal! Yogurt! Biscuits and gravy! Fresh fruit! Of course I wasn't going to pass up a 9.99 buffet with all of those options. What they didn't seem to understand is that quality is more important than quantity. 9.99 still isn't a good deal for a lot of food if all of the food tastes bad. The boxed cereal was okay; although, there was only one unlabeled pitcher of milk (with no top or lid) sitting next to the cereal. I figured by the taste of it that it was 2%, but I'm not sure. Then I couldn't find a spoon. So I had to ask the waitress for one. Seems like you should have spoons at the buffet counter if you're going to have cereal and yogurt...

Then I tried the sausage: luke-warm and rubbery. Then I tried the hashbrown: luke-warm and chewy. Then I tried the french toast and the waffle sticks; guess what? Luke warm and chewy. I don't think I had more than one bite of anything (other than the cereal).

The other funny bit was what my husband got when he ordered a glass of grapefruit juice. They brought out a glass of what looked like bubble-gum-pink lemonade. I'm sure it was some type of grapefruit "drink"; it just wasn't juice.

I guess that's it. The service was fine. The food: awful. But I can only speak for breakfast. I'd recommend saving your money, passing on the hotel discount, and hitting up McDonald's or a local bakery instead.

Stopped here after driving up and down trying to find a decent place to eat in Winona.Typical regular familiar food menu for the chain restaurant. Tried their Thai egg rolls...not bad sandwich was good.

Our server was really nice and outgoing. We asked her for a good place to go hiking and she suggested a few and left. A moment later she came back with written directions for us which I thought was really nice. Very nice service experience.

For a weary traveler, their pizza is perfect and they are open late.  I was sooooo glad this restaurant was attached to my hotel.

This is the closest Green Mill to my house. It's about a 30 minute drive, but it is worth it. They have a great menu. Everything from steak to pizza. Oh man they have good pizza. If you order a pasta dish you get a mini-loaf of the best bread. If is super delicious. MMMM. They have a great lunch menu with smaller portions, and better prices.

This is a very nicely decorated space, with mostly booths. I love booths!!! There bar is okay, but not the most experienced staff. Winona is a college town. I still come here once a month for the food.

This is probably the best restaurant in Winona, considering its competitors are McDonald's, Pizza Hut, KFC, and Taco Bell.  They have good appetizers (Southwest Egg Rolls, Coconut Chicken Tenders, Quesadillas) and the entrees are good, too.  Delicious burgers, sandwiches, and pizza.  Extensive menu-something for everyone.  Very friendly service.  Dine in weekdays or take out during the weekend when they are busy at nite.  They also have a nice bar area, but just made the whole restaurant a non-smoking facility...
