Cool joint. I wasn't expecting to find a place so big and busy in this town (I was just passing it on a road trip). I really liked how it looks, service was great. Their burgers were quite good -- not among the best I've had, but definitely not something to steer away from. Great fries.

I had seen one of their menus at my place of work and decided to give it a try.  Went with a co-worker for lunch.  We walked in there were two people sitting at the bar.  We waited for like 5 min before the cook saw us and called the waitress we were told to sit where ever we wanted.  After waiting for a few minutes we realized the two people at the bar worked there and never bother to greet us.  We order two skirt steak sandwiches. When the food finally came it was cold.  What little steak was on the sandwich was over cooked, dry and bland.  I ordered a onion rings which were bland greasy and cold. This place was very disappointing will never go back there.

One of the specials on Thursday night was Chicken Parmesan.  If they are offering it the night you are there, I can recommend it.  This place is located in downtown King City and is a nice addition to our town.   The hamburgers looked pretty good too.

During my summer stay in the south county this place has been my go to place for happy hour after work. The place doesn't get extremely busy during happy hour but the bartenders are nice, the flat screens usually have the sports games on and the food is solid, although the chef has overcooked my beef on more than one occasion. The prices on draft beers during happy hour are hard to beat. You can get premium IPA for $2.50 a pint. This has me sold and the fact that all of the bartenders are extremely nice is the kicker. The prices of some their menu items can be a little high, especially for 'Choice' and not 'Prime' cut beef, but overall the food is solid and fresh.

However, in order for me to give this place another star, the chef has to stop overcooking my meat to order, and the owner has to do something about upgrading his satellite TV package. He doesn't get the comcast or fox sports bay area channels and when you want to watch an A's or Giants game, this place usually won't have it. Fix the TV package boss, and tell your cooks that rare means rare and medium-rare means medium-rare, not both mean medium. Once they fix these two major issues they would get 4-stars. Their bar staff and HH prices get 5-stars which keeps me coming back.

Oh yeah on Wednesday nights they have Karoake, and on the wknds (Fri & Sat) they usually have a DJ, but I typically don't stick around that long.

Way overpriced for average drinks and food. Not sure what they're thinking at this place and I'm not sure how they are still in business. I should have listened to the other reviews on here...

I feel like I fell into a trap by going to this place.  It seemed like a normal bar restaurant and the prices looked pretty expensive on the menu but I didn't think much of it since I have a $60+ allotment/day for meals through my job.  When the check came and I saw what they charged for our drinks and everything combined, It just didn't quite add up.  The food and drinks were not special at all and service was nothing out of the ordinary.

Don't waste your money on this place

Had a business meeting here a few days ago.  There were 7 of us, and this is a good venue to have that large of a group.  I really like the sourdough melt sandwiches.  This time I had the turkey jack melt.  Very good.

Was in town for the US open we had a very nice meal, I suggest anything with the veggies as they where very crisp and very fresh. The service was okay but about what you expect at a small town restuarant. The prices were a little high but I thought resonable for what I got. Next time I am in King City I will be back.

Should have stuck with one of the Mexican eateries in the area.  A few weeks earlier we had poked our head in to check this place out and there were plenty who seemed to be enjoying their evening, but that night we opted for a Mexican place across the street.  This time, we went to The Grill, but we were the only ones here.  After a while someone else came in and sat at the bar.  You would think that you would get great service being the only one in the restaurant, but our server was rude and acted like we were bothering her for giving service.  Even though it was only 7:30 when we sat down, I felt rushed as they started closing off parts of the restaurant.

We ordered the fajitas.  They did not come sizzling to the table like you usual see.  Instead they were served on a plate as if they had been cooked from a frozen package on the stove. The next day, my stomach did not feel so well, and I credit my lovely fajitas.

    Expensive for yucky food.

Wow, Yelpers--you steered us wrong. I can't speak for everything on the menu, but those were absolutely horrible enchiladas, "the worst" my husband had eaten "since he left Colorado."
We ate here on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, on our way back from SoCal. I had cheese enchiladas (and the shredded blend wasn't melted at all in the center of any of the 4 corn tortillas), and my husband had chicken enchiladas (and he swore the chicken seemed like it was cooked a week ago and then barely heated again).
Other people in the restaurant/bar seemed to be enjoying their meals, so perhaps a refugee from the 101's fast food would be wise to order a cocktail and then something Grill-ed.

I found this place via Yelp as we were driving from Gilroy to San Luis Obispo. The one review was a raving 5, so we thought we would give it a shot. I gave this place a three star, because although the food was good, the prices were very high. Also, they only have one actual vegetarian offering, as even all the salads have bacon or chicken on them. They were ok with holding the meat on the salad I ordered and did accommodate my husband who ordered a grilled cheese.
The decor is nothing special and they seemed to have a lot of flies in the restaurant portion. If I stopped here again, I would rather sit in the bar and just order their onion rings.

If you are looking for a good hunk of meat, this is probably a good selection for you. Just know that it will be about $20 bucks a plate.

The service was good and fairly quick, but there was only one other table with people at it when we went.

I'm not sure I buy that all the ingredients are local, since nothing at the restaurant indicates this to be the case.

In summary, ok place to stop and eat if you can afford it. If you are on a budget, we did see some other small restaurants that might be better options in this small town.

Not much more than a stand, this small place is convenient to the freeway for those en route between northern and southern California. It has outside tables and a small inside area.

The food was delicious! We had tacos and sope with three meats: carnitas, cabeza, pastor. Juicy and flavorful, everything was very fresh. It was served with an interesting and unusual side of lightly pickled carrots, crunchy and fresh.

The tortillas were very fresh. Tacos were all juicy but the pastor was dripping oil, though it did not taste greasy.

Sope is a formed corn patty. Lots of meat, lettuce, and melty cheese. Delicious. Two of them, or three tacos, would be a meal for $3.50.

My wife had vegetarian tacos (not on menu) with beans, lettuce and tomato, cheese, rice. Very fresh.

Went here for dinner last night on my way from LA to SF - was actually looking for a Chinese restaurant, got over trying to find it, so went here instead. Phenomenal food. Everything tastes incredibly fresh from the salmon I ordered, to the side of vegetables, baked potato, bread, and even the salad. I mean, how good could an iceberg salad be anyways? Typically, it's pretty standard at most places. At this place, it tasted fresh and good (I'm talking, you don't even need dressing, it's that good and fresh).

It's so fresh, I'm convinced they have a garden where they grow the vegetables in the back, pick it, and cook it before they serve the food.

I ordered the salmon for dinner, and in addition to a garden, they must have a salmon farm. I should also add, their proportions are fairly large. They serve you a full plate of salad (even the croutons were delicious and tasted fresh!), and decent sized portion of vegetables.

Wish they had a Bay Area location - everything really did taste very fresh and delicious.
