Ground Zero Blues Club

From the outside this place looks rundown but it just adds to the overall experience, once we walked in we were very impressed.  We visited the club on an afternoon and it was pretty slow but I imagine that at night it really picks up.

They are known for their catfish and pulled pork, I tried the pulled pork sandwich and it was DELICIOUS.  I would definitely recommend visiting this place especially at night.

Co - owned by Morgan Freeman, This is as close as you'll get to a traditional nightclub in Clarksdale. Part juke joint/ part CBGB's, it's a great place to hang at if you have a large party of people. Not as intimate as places like Red's or Bluesberry, but they make up for it with a killer sound system for live bands & a kick ass bar. Do yourself a favor and also check out Red's juke joint just down the street, if your looking for an authentic juke joint vibe.

I think we have a new family!  It seems that way....the staff at GZBC practically adopted us.  It broke my heart to have to leave and get on down the road, however we find solace in the fact that we now know where to go for our next weekend getaway.  We had one of the most wonderful experiences there.  Pulled pork Sammich, fried green tomatoes and a local IPA that HOPPED MY SOCKS off!  I could go into ALL the intricacies of this place and tell you about the writing on the wall, the family atmosphere, the upstairs, and every detail we experienced, but you still wouldn't understand.....if you even remotely like the blues (or history of ANY kind for that matter) you need to do yourself a favor and make the trip.  I promise, you will NOT be disappointed!
