Check out the dates of the reviews. The service was top notch, (thanks Brittany) one of the managers or owner came out and talked wings with me. Most of thier food is not frozen and they do not use Microwaves to heat your food. Â The wings have a light breading or you can get them naked with rubs, with a large selection and choices of flavors. Plenty of big screen TV's, and a respectable choice of beers. Only sorry I found this place on my way out of town.
Review Source:Came to New Bern on business trip coming from SoCal and I must say the place is great! There are plenty of flat screens for watching sports. The atmosphere is friendly and the waitress there are good eye candy ;-) they have good buffalo wings for appetizers. I was there wednesday night and ordered the fillet mignon medium rare with baked potato and sweet potato fries. The cut was perfect and the sweet potato fries tasted as I were eating mini churros with even the cinnamon taste to them! The baked potato was nice and big and I also ordered a couple of Yuengling  draft which I must've caught at discount price cause total was $4.50 for both!! Mostly national beers so if you're looking for euro Bitter go elsewhere but other than that great place to enjoy a meal! Heads up if there's a local game on cause it'll get quite loud from the fans cheering! Would definitely recommend and will enjoy another meal before I return home.
Review Source:Lots of TV's. The volume and sound is near perfect. Love all the high tables. My food burger and sweet potato fries were good, but I would prefer the fries to come out warm. Also, their bar is VERY limiting in selection. I've always had less than good service here. Because of the inconsistency in the food and service, I would recommend going to Spunky's or BW3's when it opens.
Review Source:I agree that it is a sports bar and there are plenty of TVs. Â They have dirt cheap PBRs on Sundays. Â However, the service is TERRIBLE! Â The bartenders and waitresses are barely friendly and the service is lousy! Â The bar closes at 11, regardless of what game is on. Â With less than 5 minutes to go in the 4th quarter of Sunday Night Football, the bartenders decided to close, Â kick everyone out, and close. Â
Food is okay and maybe rates 3 stars, but that's it. Â For the only sports bar in New Bern, I would drive the hour to a better destination.
Everything a sports bar should be. 20 big TVs, a projector, and 5 smaller TVs for the booths. Professional, with tons of wood and sports paraphanelia, good service, good wings, high ceilings, half off draft specials ($2 drafts!) I don't know what their specials are normally, but it was half of draft specials at 11:30am on Saturday during the NFL draft. And all this without sacrificing quality of food. Imagine that.
THE SERVICE
Like everywhere we went in NC, fabulous service. Attentive without being annoying (considering that we were the first ppl in here on a Saturday, that balance is especially impressive). Our waitress was informative, friendly, and fast.
THE WINGS
This is much better than average bar food, or dare I say it's good food that is at a good bar?
They do have other things besides wings, but since we were watching the draft...yeah, got two dozen wings for $19, half hot, half chipotle. The chipotle was on the sweeter side but very flavorful, and the hot was definitely hotter than average and very tasy. They had a lot of sauce options for wings: spicy polynesian, garlic, teriyaki, medium, mild, hot, habanera, BBQ, jerk, honey bbq. The habanera requires a waiver or something, if you can believe that. Blue cheese or ranch accompany (couldn't tell them apart, although they were good), and the celery that came with the wings were the small curly pieces (yay). Between me and the bf, two dozen wings was more than enough.
This is what a Buffalo Wild Wings is aspiring to, only with higher quality food, nicer ambiance and better prices. There are even a couple bar stools with nameplates on them (for the regulars or founders?) Blue moon and PBR on draft. Open until the last game is over. If only there was a Half Time in DC!
