This is the square dances you were told about in 2nd grade. Â And the best part is, it's for everyone now, not just 2nd graders (and no big poofy dresses and string ties that you've seen on Hee-Haw).
You can bring your instrument and jam out if you come early (4-6pm), or bring a potluck dish and eat some dinner (6-7pm) or bring your dancing shoes and do some square dancing (7-10pm). Â
You don't need a partner, or even an admission fee, since it's by donation only, and everyone is friendly enough that you can ask someone what the heck is going on, and they might just teach you a move or two. Â
This even has been going on for a long, long, time, and so it can seem sort of insular if you go there for the first time. Â But if you just want to sit back and watch and listen, that's okay too. Â It's a great event that goes on the 2nd saturday of every month. Â
