Hardee's

Is 13 minutes too long to wait for food?

Usually, I have a decent to good experience at Hardee's but this might as well have been a Carl's Jr. because it seemed as though they didn't care.  Perhaps, they didn't have a manager there.

They had some business in the store and in the drive-thru line, but it wasn't exceptionally busy.  They didn't seem in a hurry to take care of either.  As they took our orders, they didn't give us a receipt or give us table or carry out numbers but when they finished orders, they called out the numbers.

I finally told the person calling the numbers that the woman with the Biscuit 'n' Gravy probably didn't know her number, and then, she took the food out to the dining room.  I can only imagine that it had cooled by then.

I saw them clearing the old orders and one of the women asked a couple of times about my burrito to the guy making the food and he didn't seem to answer her.  He didn't seem to be in a hurry but maybe he was completely stressed out since he was the only one preparing food?

I really though that 13 minutes was an extremely long time to wait.  No one got an apology for the time they were waiting.  The Loaded Breakfast Burrito was good, but not really hot, even though I got it almost as soon as he had finished it.

I don't remember stopping in Rushville for food, but maybe they just go a bit slower?

After giving feedback to Hardee's, I got a call from the store manager.  She was quite pleasant and assured me that they would try to fix things.  She apologized multiple times.  She told me that it was very busy but I think we have different ideas about what is very busy.  Perhaps, my times working in fast food are skewed but the only place I could imagine 13 minute waits would have been McDonald's and only when we had 3 buses, and we'd all be in trouble for making anyone wait more than 2 minutes.

I hope my next visit is better.

I decided to stop at this Hardee's on the way back to Indy from my mom's house in Rushville. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The air was blasting, and the staff seemed eager to make the environment more comfortable for the diners. Hardee's makes great burgers, and this location is no exception!
