Not much to look at from the outside, but a cute step back in time inside. Staff was friendly and helpful and food came out in a reasonable time. My milkshake, made with their homemade ice cream, was delicious. Hamburger was good, although a bit small. I had a ton of fries which I could not finish. They seemed a bit old and rubbery, but they were hot when they arrived. Wife got fried shrimp and another guest ordered fish & chips. Both the fried fish and shrimp seemed rather dark, possibly from old oil in the fryers. Fish coating was also rather hard and seemed overdone.
However, the biggest complaint from this visit was the extreme heat inside the building. It was 90+ degrees in there (confirmed by the waitress). Not sure if the air conditioning was broken, or if it was just related to the extreme heat of the past few days, but it was unbearable. May go back in the cooler moths.
