I simply love Heidi's. Yes, it's expensive but it is the best jazz club in the area.

We had dinner there on a Tuesday night and caught the Sybill Gage show and she was beyond outstanding. She's a New Orleans gal that can hang with the best jazz and blues vocalists out there. Tickets were $3 each for her show. Cheap for the quality of the performance.

The Heidelberg Restaurant is right next door and the food is wonderful. You can order food from there at your table in the jazz club. (their German potato salad is absolutely  to die for)

For dinner we both had the lobster bisque and split an order of the escargot and both were just outstanding. Order the bisque, you won't be disappointed and they always have it on the menu.

Heidi's is a really classy club. You can eat, drink, dance and catch really exceptional jazz and blues talent there. So if you're ever in the Cocoa Beach area and wanting a nice evening out, I seriously can't recommend a better place to go than Heidi's.

I visited Heidi's Jazz Club in June after many moons of longing to make the drive from Orlando.  A blues singer by the name of Juanita Dixon was in town and I had a hankering for some live blues.

The club was easy to find and had plenty of free parking in back. I immediately loved Heidi's layout. Since I was checking the place out solo, I wanted to slink in covertly and have a seat without walking past a bunch of seated people. The bar, situated along the back wall, allowed me to do so.  The club is intimate (from the bar to the stage was only about 50 feet) but roomy with stylish and sophisticated décor. There were several tables with white tablecloths for folks to sit at and enjoy dinner and the show.

The escargot was delicious and rich. The show was amazing--raunchy and real--just the way a blues show should be. Little old (excuse me, "seasoned") couples shimmied on the dance floor. There were quite a few people in their 20s and 30s there as well.

I would love to go to Heidi's more, but with a usual $10 admission and a two-drink minimum, one can easily sink $30 into one visit. If you're coming from out of town (or not), I suggest making a bit of a getaway of it. Come early for dinner, stay for the show, and spend the night at one of the many nearby hotels along Cocoa Beach.
