Mr. Picky and I returned to Hello Thai for Shirmp Pad Thai. The cravings were subdued this past weekend when we each ordered our own plates. No sharing this time! MINE MINE MINE!!! The rule this lunch, which we both honored, was to keep each others chop sticks away from each others plates. We did share an order of delicious sticky rice.
This restaurant is extremely clean and literally spotless! Meals are served quickly and with a smile and that matters a lot to us.
This is a gem of a restaurant and we were looking at the menu planning our next visit even before we left.
I read the reviews so I tried this place but I regretted it. For $ 15 I should have hit brewery across the street for a burger and fries - would have been much more satisfying. The peanut sauce was a snore. The cabbage was hard and I could not chew it = weird. Place was hot and stuffy. My Thai Ice tea was half cream - achooo.
I do not recommend this place. Well not if you know good Thai food.
Place was hot, humid and stuffy.
We lived in Roseburg for a few months and thought we were SOL for Thai food. We were wrong when we stumbled on this little place in WINSTON OR. The food was spot on and service too. Every dish that I ordered was always fresh and presented well with hand carved radishes or something made into flowers. There is a lot of care and love put into every dish at Hello Thai! We had to move out of the area but think this little place and all the beautiful rivers and scenery are about all that we miss from that area of Oregon. Hopefully if we ever make it through this area again, they are still standing and thriving and we will be sure to stop in.
Review Source:Been there 4 times now and every single time it's real Thai food. We have had Currys, soup, eggplant dishes, Â rice dishes and noodles. well good. Nice decor , clean place.
Ever been to a Chinese restaurant posing as a Thai restaurant? Its very disappointing. This is the real thing tucked away in spot that doesn't make sense.
The Roseburg area has two Thai places. Been to the other place once but Hello Thai gets my vote and my visits.
Really enjoyed the taste, as well as presentation of the food here. Â Larb was different than most Thai restaurants, but tasty. Â Tom Yum soup was excellent. Â Spicy fried rice with basil was very flavorful, but didn't have quite enough basil.
Good sized portions, at reasonable prices with friendly service. Â I look forward to trying more of their dishes.
we are so happy to have great thai near by. Â
we tried this place about a week after they opened and we were pleased with everything we tried. the salad rolls were good and beautifully presented, rolled up with the skill of a sushi master, with a crispy fried piece of tofu in the center. the wide noodle dish (pad see ew) was spot on. i would have liked a little more spice but my wife liked it just how it was. she ordered a mild curry dish with very thin all white meat chicken that was also excellent. everything was very fresh and nicely cooked.
we eat a little later than the roseburg crowd so we were the only two in the restaurant but apparently they had a full house earlier in the night. anyway we got great service. there are only about 30 seats in the whole place so go get one and help keep this great restaurant alive so that i dont have to drive to eugene for authentic ethnic food
