Stopped in for dinner on a saturday evening about 8pm. Â The dining room was pretty empty with only one or two tables occpied. Â Overall the food was ok, but ot a lot of thought to the menu. Â Was hoping to try the prime rib but was told it was sold out. Â Got a steak instead. Â Was cooked medium like i ordered it. Â Not the best strip steak, but not expensive either at around 13 bucks. Â Came with mashed ( instant) and corn. Â Wife ordered alfrado. Â Was also ok, tasted like jar sauce so nothing mind blowing. Â Service was friendly and fast. Â The interior was nice, clean, Â and spacious.
Review Source:If you happen to be in the area and are looking for a decent selection of beer, Â you might want to stop here. Â Maybe after the tractor pull at the fair grounds. There had to be a good dozen beer taps covering everything from the lite beers to craft brews. Â There is also a pool table in the middle of the dining area. Â We decided to sit in the bar area where the tables were smaller. Â Several TVs are viewable along with Lottery Quick Draw monitors. I think I also saw some video games in the back of the dining room. Bikers welcomed.
We started with an appetizer called Cordon Blue Balls. Â They were pieces of chicken combined with blue-cheese, breaded and rolled into 5 balls and deep-fried. Â They came with a dipping sauce and not only were different but good.
I've been here twice and only had beer with sandwiches. Â I've not tried their pizza or entrees. There was a special this night of buy one pizza and another could be purchased for half-price. Â We saw a number of customers coming in to get pizza to go.
I brought my wife here because I recalled that I had a decent burger last year and she had a craving for a burger tonight. Â She was disappointed with the half-pound burger's flavor... or should I say lack of flavor. Â Otherwise it was juicy, cooked properly to her requested medium-rare, looked huge, came on a nice fresh, soft sesame roll and had lettuce, tomato, onion and cheese. Â But there was no grilled flavor or any real flavor from the meat. Â I agreed it was not what I recalled from my first visit. Â If this is still to your liking, they also offer a one-pound burger!!!
I had the sandwich special that was thinly sliced prime rib with american cheese. Â It was OK. Â It also came on a fresh sesame roll. Â Both sandwiches also came with hand-cut fries. Â I welcomed the fact that the fries were not overly salted. Â In fact, my wife actually added a bit of salt to both her fries and burger.
Service was friendly and efficient. Â Our bill before tip was under $30.
They have a 30 second video on FaceBook.
