I was in town for several days doing work and needed local food rather than the McDonalds at the highway or the 20-mile trip out-and-back to Iowa City. Â The pizza joint is in front of but attached to the bar in the back. Â The pizza is certainly good. Â The menu choices are just fine for a local place making pizza, not seeking food nirvana. Â There were other options besides pizza--sandwiches and calzones, IIRC. Â I had a 10 inch two-topping pizza that was well done. Adequate topping coverage, suitably cheesy, and clearly fresh. Â You can see the dough machine from the counter. Â Perfect for a cool summer evening with a beer. Â It is cash only, so be prepared for that, and so is the bar in the back. Â You can order your pizza in front and then go sit in the back in the bar area; they'll bring it out to you. Â It is clearly a local place, but the folks are friendly and welcoming to out-of-towners.
Review Source:I had pizza here with a friend a couple weeks ago and I thought it was delicious! Â Our pizza had a super thin, crispy crust piled high with toppings. Â We had the "supreme" or whatever it's called there. Â The best part was that some of the cheese spread over the edge and became brown and crispy.
