Heroes Bar & Grill

Kind of a sad place...the main spot to go to on a Friday or Saturday night if you want a night out on the town but thats not saying much for Goldsboro. Have experienced much better around the world but if your just a small town girl living in a lonely world I guess this will have to do. I have been here a couple of times and even went one Saturday and it was literally almost completely dead...meh.

I came to North Carolina to visit a friend of mine, and she took me to the "local bar". This is where the locals on a Fri and Sat Night go for drinking. Since Goldsboro is a small town there isn't much to do past 9pm. This joint closes at 2pm and had a cover charge of $5. There was a live band that was pretty good and they have cheap beers ( i wish i drank beer) and daily drink specials. They also serve food here, which i did not get to try. The crowd that come here are definitely locals because it seemed everyone who was there know each other. Me, being an outsider and coming from LA, I have experienced better bars back home. But for being a bar in the middle of nowhere it was definitely something to keep you entertained on a weeknight.
