Have been here a few times. Â First time was for lunch but they said we could order off the breakfast menu. Â Pancakes it is...30 min later the server informed us that the cook didn't know how to make pancakes! Â OK...second time we stopped in for brunch. Â Pancakes...after waiting an hour (barely anyone in the place) they arrived only to cut into a lightly seared batter cake! Â Yes it was still raw inside. Â They do have lots of menu items...maybe too many. Â I have had the Rueben, which was good. Â The place needs a facelift! Â I may stop in for a beer again, but I'll mark it off my brunch list!!!
Review Source:We had some time to kill before "Wine Class" at Bubbles. Â A quick search of happy hours revealed the Hideaway Bar & Grill. Â Now, despite having driven through downtown Castle Rock many times, and regardless of the fact that I have been to several establishments, I still find the whole street layout a bit confusing at times. Â The Hideaway is definitely no exception to this. Â It is tucked back on Jerry Street, just north of 6th. Â It is pretty much invisible unless you know where to look. Â I suppose if one had lightning fast "eyeball reflexes", you could spot it from I-25 (as it abuts it).
There place has a largish patio. Â And, since the searing orb of fire in the sky had chosen to briefly hide behind some clouds, this seemed like the place to be. Â Indeed, we entered and exited via the patio, and never actually went inside. Â The patio is large and has picnic tables and smaller tables and chairs made of expanded metal. Â Much of the seating is also shaded.
The happy hour drink specials were decent. Â You can get a standard macro-brew for $3 or a PBR tall boy for the same price. Â You can also get a well drink for $3. Â We did not have time to try the food, but the beer was nice and cold. Â Our waitress was friendly, but seemed to be covering quite a few tables. Â I would say this place is definitely worth checking out.
This is officially my home bar. Â They have the BEST veggie burger anywhere and trust me I have sampled my fair share. Â Get the Hideaway burger with the black bean patty and you will not be disappointed. Â They do an amazing Bloody Mary bar on Sundays. Â I love watching the Bronco games here for the happy hour menu. Great patio with live music all the time.
Review Source:Nice atmosphere, loved sitting out on the patio on a beautiful Sunday. Â The turkey sandwich was very tasty especially when adding the avocado as the waitress suggested. Service was ok, we weren't in any hurry & they seemed to get slammed with people shortly after we arrived. Â My only complaint was the fries were way under cooked. Â We will definitely be back to try some other menu items!
Review Source:This was horrible. Â I have come to this restaurant through many of its name and owner changes hoping that it would improve and it never has. Â This last time my chicken fingers turned out to be slightly cooked on the outside and completely raw on the inside! Â I sent them back and the waitress looked as nauseous as I felt. Â I still have a sick feeling when I drive by as I think about how they fed me RAW CHICKEN! Â If I would not been so appalled, I should have called in the Health department. Â Do your self a favor. Â Don't eat here.
Review Source:What a great place in Cadtle Rock, great food, great drinks and prices with a very friendly staff!!! Â The fish tacos were awesome as was the Turkey sandwich on a Pretzel roll. Lots of TVs for sports, a couple new pool tables and live music on the patio on Fridays and Saturday nights!! Â Finally a fun and inexpensive place to party in Cadtle Rock!!!! Â And I've also heard that have a great karaoke scene on Thursday nights....
