Hippos the House of Billiards

I have been going to hippos for roughly 15 years.
What more do I need to say!
Grab a beer, a Hippo burger(one of, if not the best burgers in the area) and shoot some pool, play darts, or fooseball.
Great atmosphere and the owners always hire great people.
There is a seperate room for smokers if that is a concern.
Stop down and shoot a few racks, Hippos never disappoints

Hippos was one of my favorite places to hang out during my high school and college years.  My friends and I used to swarm the place on ladies night.

The upstairs loft with the black lights was my favorite!  (Do they still have that?!)  Playing pool under a blacklight was always a fun way to unwind.

The place was always pretty smoky.. but what you want?  It's a billiard hall.  ;-)

Ah, there are some happy memories of fun-filled evenings spent on Commercial Drive!  Grab a quick bite to eat, go shopping at the various stores up and down the strip, and wind up playing a game of pool here at Hippos, where you can relax w/a brew and take your frustrations out on the cue ball after a lousy week!  The staff at Hippos is really nice, the place is really mellow, and a nice place to get your head together while you try (with varying degrees of success,) to sink a particular ball, and it's a great place to hang out w/your friends when you feel like your stuck for something to do on just about any given night.  Did I mention that Hippo's is open late?  It's a great default setting for entertainment that's relatively inexpensive, and the great hours don't hurt either!
