Thanks Yelpers! Â You found another great little spot for my trips down the Keys. Â Hog Heaven is set back off of US1 so it's easy to miss, but do yourself a favor and give it a look (at least during happy hour). Â Excellent drinks, nice little boat dock, and friendly staff. Â Yay pigs!
Review Source:Hog Heaven was a nice stop on the way down to Key West. Made happy hour and the barmaid poured some good drinks. Played pool then went out back. What a beautiful shock, the entrance to Hog Heaven is a bit cheesy looking, but in the back it is a scenic delight. A nice u shaped dock area with a back bar, a pretty beach type area, and a great view of the Atlantic Ocean. Will stop by again the next time I'm in the Keys
Review Source:Nice little place next to the tiki bar in Isla Morada. The mini corn dogs are really good I would recommend them. The artic grape drink that they have is also really good which made me want to find grape bacardi to make this at home. The prices are also good which is always nice. It is also pretty large so you don't really have to wait for a table and they have tv's playing games. We went during the olympics and they were playing the games which was nice. I would love to go back and try again!
Review Source:Once you get past the cheesy '80s sign, the Hog is actually a pretty sweet spot. Â I ignored this place too long due to their signage, assuming the place would be a dive. Hog Heaven is not a dive. Â It's actually very nice (for a bar), has good food, and great prices to boot.
To the owners...change your sign. Â I live 250 yards away, and it took me 2 months to wander in because that sign does absolutely no justice to your restaurant. Â You're easily 2x better than Smugglers or Island Grill, but people judge you because of your sign.
The beer is cheap, inside is way nicer than you'd expect, they have darts, pool, a stage, boat parking, and  food!  The nachos that come out here, holy crap, if you eat all of those you are A: starving, or B: a buffarillo that has escaped from their cage and took Hog Heaven a bit literally.  Other food highlights are the blackened mahi sandwich, the Hawaiian chicken, the fish Reuben,
The beer list is one of the best in the Islamorada. Â That's not saying much necessarily, but they have the usual macros and some decent semi-micros such as Drifters Pale Ale (my go-to). Â My biggest gripe here is the service; outside of a few of the regulars (e.g., Shane) the seasonal waitstaff kind of sucks. Â It's definitely hit-or-miss...if you get one of the lazy ones, good luck getting refills. Â
Oh and last but certainly not least, they're open, and serving food, until 3:30AM every night! By far the latest late night in the area. Â
Come here, have a beer, sit at the bar, admire the wicker decoration (you'll understand when you get here) and say hello...there's a good chance I'll be there.
By land or sea this is my go to bar in the keys. Easy to pull in by boat to grab some lunch and even easier to find at night for a more liquid diet.
They have a great dock bar area with a floating platform for live bands. If you want to get away from the crowd follow the dock to the left and you will end up on a little island where you can drop into a lounge chair and let the sound of the ocean lull you to sleep (not joking, it's easy to fall asleep out there).
Food-wise, it's your typical keys bar food, which means normal bar food and seafood.
One thing that is pretty cool, if you bring in fish you caught, they will cook it for you.
Between the food, music, drink and people, Hog Heaven reminds me why I go to the keys, every time I stop by.
Happy hour 3-7 awesome drinks and food specials.
Went twice to this place and loved it both times. Probably the best for good chillin fun and drinks. The crowd was locals and you can tell by the bar stories that were being told or at least the"Fish Tales". Great outdoor patio view.
Did not order entrees...cannot comment.
Stayed in Islamorada for a week and wanted to try to find something fun to do at night. This was definitely it!!
Most of the upper keys are pretty laid back so it was nice to find a place that's open late and that's fun. They are open til 4 AM everyday and serve food til 3 AM.
They have an inside bar with pool tables and on Thursday nights they have karaoke that we took advantage of.
We ordered some appetizers one night and they were delicious. We had never tried conch fritters and were curious to try them. AMAZING!! We also had the loaded nachos which were yummy too!
The outside bar is so much fun and is right on a deck. You can pay 25 cents to feed the fish and watch them go crazy or just wait til a waitress throws them some leftovers. One of the coolest parts is that if you follow the dock, they have their own private beach that you can bring your drinks to and sit in the chairs.
If you have a boat, you can also dock the boat and stop in for lunch which is really cool.
If you are looking for something fun to do late at night, go to Hog Heaven!!!
Made a quick pit-stop here on my out of Islamorada. The Hog IPA & our ridiculously nice n' cute waitress were the best Hog Heaven had to offer that day. I ordered the fish finger basket. It was nice but not spectacular. I really recommend Hog IPA & visiting Erica, the waitress. Yo no se?!?! Â Â Â :^/
Review Source:On a recent trip to Largo, our great friend who frequents this bar suggested we come here. Â OMG, so glad we did. Â This bar is filled with locals, and is quite large inside. Â We walked straight outside to the back where there is a bar with a great view. Â You can pull right up with your boat. Â The night we came it was a full moon and the glow on the water was breathtaking.
They have a large walkway where you can walk over to a grass area and have a romantic stroll or just lay on the grass or sit in the chairs for peace and serenity, while enjoying the fabulous views. Â The DJ was spinning some great tunes which made it very hard to stand still.
Our bartender was cool and he took good care of us. Â We ordered some food such as conch fritters, fries, etc.... All of the food was your typical bar food. Â While indulging in drinking the greasy food taste oh so good. Â I had a local beer which was light and refreshing.
What to love about this place:
Great music
Fun local crowd
Good beer menu
Friendly bartenders
Good bar food
Incredible views
Just a laid back fun place!
As we were hanging out a local walked up to my daughter as it was cinch de mayo and she had a very large sombrero on. Â He offered her $50 for her sombrero. Â Oh how she loved it and did not want to part with it. Â But mama did not raise a fool, she waited for her $50 cash and took her sombrero off and gave it to the cool fun local dude.
We all had so much fun here!
Thank you Chris C. for taking us here, great time was had by all, well not Patrick L. he was asleep in the truck in the parking lot.....bahahahaha you missed all the fun!
This is a must go to bar if in the area. Â Shoot I liked it so much I would make the drive just to go here again!
Go, go now you will have a great time!
I heard about this place on Trip Advisor and wrote it down as an option to stop at between Miami and Key West.
For a sports bar, I thought it was a very nice place, well decorated with a nice outside seating area on the water where boats can dock.
The service was excellent.
The food was great. Â My salad was very fresh and my ribs were cooked well, seasoned well and had no fat at all.
Went here Thursday night and had a fun time enjoying a bluesy band, eating the yummy, old bay seasoned peel and eat shrimp. The wings were very tasty and not fatty. The mahi sandwich was just OK, but the beers were a great deal - $2.75! We really enjoying their Hog IPA. Â We sat on the back deck and watched the fish playing in the water too. Very chill place with a good local feel.
It wasn't crowded when we were there, but I got the feeling it's more of a late night stop. If we weren't wiped out from being in the sun all day, we would've stayed and enjoyed the place longer. I'd go again.
I love this place! Â It's an off the beaten track sort of locals dive, but the place is great! Â It's right on the water with its own swimming and beach area and place to pull your boat right up to the bar. Â The food is delicious and the bartenders and wait staff are friendly, helpful, welcoming, and fun. Â Best of all, the place serves a full menu until 4 a.m. Â After our wedding was over and all the presents had been loaded into the car, we realized we had barely eaten at the reception. Â Our hotel recommended Hog Heaven, so we struck out there in our wedding attire. Â The locals applauded and congratulated us and we sat in our white clothes and ate a burger at the back outside bar. Â It's the Keys...what could be more perfect? Â We went back many times during our stay and aside from the bathrooms needing a little more cleaning attention, we have no complaints. Â I can see why the locals love it here. Â Check out their dinner specials. Â Worth it!
Review Source:We stopped here on the way down to Key Dives to grab some lunch; so if you're reading this to find out about their night/dinner scene this probably won't be of much use to you.
The inside was very clean but slightly reeked of bleach so we opted to sit on their marina. It was a pleasant spot and you could watch the fish swim under the dock while you ate.
The waitress was very attentive, the food came out quick, and the manager stopped by at least twice to make sure everything was ok.
Our food was adequate and just what we were looking for (we all got some sort of burger or sandwich). It was an overall very good experience. Would recommend as a quick lunch stop.
Did the waiter just say $9 for a vodka tonic and a beer? We are not in Miami any more. Hog Heaven is key largos go to place to mix with the locals. With the DJ spinning music from a Cadillac convertible and pool tables available for a hand full of change this place is FUN! If you want to get some distance from the loud music there is a romantic setting outside on the dock. Hog Heaven will be sure to have you leaving the keys with unforgettable memories!
Review Source:Very casual, right on the water. Walk right through the empty indoor dining area to the outdoor deck. Â A little worn-out, dusty & dated, but very relaxed with great service, funny! cleverly written menu with more than a little bit of everything to please everyone in our group. Drinks were good and cold. Could have easily spent the whole afternoon there.
Review Source:Classic sports bar cuisine with a dive bar scene. We ended up here because it is one of two places in the area open late  ... til 4am. After searching a bit, we got there around 2am on Friday night and sat at the bar.  The music was awesome and the crowd of local 20-somethings were dancing, drinking and having a great time!
We ordered beers and chicken tenders, nachos, and sliders. Â The chicken tenders were served with a side of honey mustard and exceptionally delicious...I think it was the batter. Â The nachos were piled high and topped with chili, cheese, jalapenos, and the other standard toppings & served with a side of sour cream & salsa. Â The hamburger sliders (3) were cooked to order & very tastey and served with a side of fries. Â Good times & great muchies -
Ok so it appears as though I'll be the first to give this place 5 stars but based on my one experience (which it seems others wrote reviews by) I loved it. As a matter of fact, all four of the people in our group loved it.
I can't believe as many times as I have been to the keys I've never stopped in. We went on a friday evening, around 7 or so and unlike many of the reviews I've read, I found this place rather tranquil and relaxing (far from Road House). Maybe there has been some remodeling or perhaps a new owner? Not sure, but we went outside and there was a pleasent older crowd and it was pretty quiet with the radio playing a variety of music.
We all ordered seafood, Mahi sandwiches and a caesar wrap. Everything was delicious! I had never thought of eating blackened mahi and a caesar salad as a wrap but I tried it and it was surprisingly amazing. And of course the french fries, my favorite food, were great too. The cole slaw was the only thing which was a little bland.
Not to forget, we happened to stroll in during happy hour (which I believe is mon-fri 4-8) and beers were 1/2 off which in the keys equals super cheap. Miller light and coors were $1.40 a bottle and usually pricier beers like Heinekin and Corona were $2.10. Can't beat that.
Our server was really nice. She was not only friendly but also didn't mind us walking around the huge deck (that leads out to a beachy area) while we were waiting on our food and afterward. When we were finished eating, our waitress even threw the extra food into the water so people could check out all the fish fighting over it. Overall I had a great time here but next time I'd like to take advantage of the open quarter tables and play some pool. The reoccurring word in others reviews: NASCAR may be a time to avoid this bar but on a normal night it's a great place to stop in and have dinner and drinks.
Oh Hog Heaven ... the billboard is quiet eye catching and gives fair warning about the type of place this is ... NASCAR dive bar ... not my thing to say the least.
Heard they had live music and a local said it was a fun place, so we ventured in. The band was setting up, so we grabbed a pitcher. A warm pitcher, who sells warm beer? The back deck was nice, so we took a seat and waited, waited, waited ... no band. We finished the pitcher and headed out.
Nice back deck, but the appeal ends there.
If you want to see people out passed 10:00 pm. Â They are here.
A true Dive bar complete with NASCAR styled car on the roof. Â If you have a group of people and just want to go out it is fine. Â Do not go by yourself or you are looking for trouble. Â The locals do not like the outsiders coming in and trying to buddy up to the locals. Â I have seen some bad fights here and never bring your girl with you or every boathand in the place will have something to say. Â Especially if she is attractive.
Go as a pack and I would say go only with the guys.
