Stopped here for a quick lunch on the drive between Vermont and Maine. My husband and I liked our experience, and if we were locals we would definitely be back.
First of all, the restaurant used to be a catholic church in the 1800s, so just by that aspect, it's a pretty cool place. Â The inside is really nicely decorated. Definitely a neat Irish pub atmosphere. If anything, come eat here just to sit and stare at your surroundings.
We did sit outside on the patio since the day was so lovely. Our server was very efficient and friendly. As for the food ... tasty. I ate the Irish Dip and I could've drank the au jus out of a cup, it was so good.
There are many awesome sounding things on the menu. Wish I could've eaten a sampler platter of all the Irish things I wanted to try!
Very interesting traditional Irish pub in a building that used to be a church! Â Traveling through Ireland's canals and small villages, what became evident was that each village had a church and pub, often in close proximity BUT until the Holy Grail, I had never seen them both in one building!
The Kennedys have done a fantasteic job with their establishment. Â It's warm and comfortable, the staff is friendly and attentive and the food is incredible and reasonably priced!
Well worth the trip!
