Pretty bad service ruined the breakfast.
They have 2 specials on their breakfast menu, $5 - 2 eggs, toast or biscuit, meat, hash brown, coffee. $8 - same but all meats. I ordered the $5, over medium, toast, sausage. Had to repeat it twice to waitress who repeated it back to me... it's not that complicated.
10 minutes later, wai tress - "Wheat toast with that", no, White,
Coffee refill in the interim from a cook that came out... but, as he's pouring, he can see right thru it to me, very weak, he stopped, went and got some good coffee, finished pouring, & told the waitresses they screwed up making the coffee
Ah breakfast is served. "Excuse me, I think this comes with has browns". Waitress - "I don't think so". Really, read the frigin menu! There's only 2 specials, both come with has browns, holy cow.
She looks at the menu, goes back to the kitchen to discuss, 'they're cooking your hashbrowns now', got them 5 minutes later
How can you cook 2 eggs, same grill, same time?, 1 is perfect over medium, other is so hard the yolk comes out in it's entirety with 1 prong of the fork?
Shortly before finishing, ordered a ham egg & cheese biscuit... again, had to say it and get it said back for confirmation. She walks away from the kitchen area, comes back & before giving them the ticket asks, 'you don't want any bacon on that?'. Whew.
Great place!!! My husband and I just had breakfast and it was very good. Our eggs and my husband's bacon were cooked perfectly. Â The biscuits were light and fluffy and the gravy was yummy. I had to send my sausage links back to get them cooked a little more, but they didn't bat an eye when I asked them to do it. There was no waiting for a table and the waitress was very attentive and friendly without being TOO friendly. I can't wait to try it for lunch or dinner!! Â Thank you Yelp for helping me find this place!!!
Review Source:Somehow this place slipped past my radar. My wife came home with some piping hot sandwiches and some of the best homemade fries, better than five guys. I had a meatball hoagie and my wife had the Philly cheese steak. Both were delicious. I haven't tried the pasta yet but it sounds delicious also. The decor is nice and clean. It really is a whole in the wall mom and pop kind of place and service can be slow. I wouldn't recommend if your in a hurry, but the quality of the food is well worth the wait.
