Went here for dinner two Friday's ago with a group of friends. Â I honestly wasn't expecting much because the other Hometown Pizza is pretty bad. Â So, I decided to try the buffalo wings dinner. Â Wings are usually good anywhere you go, as long as they are cooked enough. Â When I ordered, I specifically asked the waitress to have my wings cooked 'crispy'. Â she told me it would take a little longer, which was fine. Â When they bring out the food, my dish was the last to arrive - I expected that. Â What I didn't expect were chicken wings with rubbery skin, not crispy. Â I didn't have time to re-order so I just ate them. Â The meat was cooked at least. Â I assume they must pre-boil the wings before a quick drop in the fryer. Â My friends ordered the "house specialty' thin crust pizza. Â It was truly the thinnest crust we ever saw. Â It looked like a tortilla and apparently wasn't the least bit filling. Â Bottom line, the Crestwood Hometown pizza is as disappointing as the La Grange location.
