Hometown Pizza

Consistently good pizza.  By far the best in crestwood area.  For local pizza this is the best and our #1 choice.

Went here for dinner two Friday's ago with a group of friends.  I honestly wasn't expecting much because the other Hometown Pizza is pretty bad.  So, I decided to try the buffalo wings dinner.  Wings are usually good anywhere you go, as long as they are cooked enough.  When I ordered, I specifically asked the waitress to have my wings cooked 'crispy'.  she told me it would take a little longer, which was fine.  When they bring out the food, my dish was the last to arrive - I expected that.  What I didn't expect were chicken wings with rubbery skin, not crispy.  I didn't have time to re-order so I just ate them.  The meat was cooked at least.  I assume they must pre-boil the wings before a quick drop in the fryer.  My friends ordered the "house specialty' thin crust pizza.  It was truly the thinnest crust we ever saw.  It looked like a tortilla and apparently wasn't the least bit filling.  Bottom line, the Crestwood Hometown pizza is as disappointing as the La Grange location.
