The Hoot Owl

Hands down the best bar in Canton, the North Country, and even possibly the world!!!  

free popcorn buffet every day!  $1 blues on tuesdays; quiz night wednesday - answer the quiz correctly and get a free drink (this is a town of scholars ya know) All bottle beer but a good selection at great prices. They only except cash so hit the ATM before hand!

The ambiance is unbeatable.... xmas lights set the mood and the genuine sports memorabilia hanging everywhere really prove that this is a true diamond in the rough.  

Pool tables, darts, foosball, and bag-o boards in the side room.  Digital jukebox but beware the students  will feed it a nice size wad to make sure all your selections are skipped out.  

Open everyday from 8:30pm - 2am except friday they open at 4pm for happy hour.  

There is a history of serious late night shakedowns before the lights flip on which can get scary especially if a few mind erasers were consumed and if your lucky you might even catch an appearance from Mr. Owl himself, you never know!

The Hoot Owl has stood the test of time.  Over 30 years have past since it has opened and I think the original bathroom fixtures are in the men's bathroom...  No draft beers because that is how the owner likes it but then you don't have to worry about dirty taps.  Nice beer selection and all pretty cheap if your coming from somewhere outside the North Country.
