Hot Off the Coals

I was attracted to the smoke, often a good omen. Sadly, the pulled pork was mediocre, dry, shredded and stirred in BBQ sauce. Owner/chef needs a lesson in preparing pulled pork. Beans were only OK, and this is the easy side dish in a BBQ restaurant. Portions are surprisingly small for the price. Service is quick and friendly. Beats fast food if you are hungry and in a hurry, not many choices in this part of Maryland. Overall, disappointed. Will not return.

We were lured in by the smoker.  Had a smoked turkey pit platter which was a sandwich.  It came out lukewarm, looked and tasted like thinly sliced smoked turkey breast that you buy at a deli.  I felt deceived because I thought I was getting smoked  turkey from a whole actual turkey, along with the diversity of meat textures and not thin deli slices. It didn't even taste like turkey.  Ugh. Indifferent service but good boardwalk fries.

wasn't bad, but wasn't the most delicious we have had.  It was a little deceiving because there was a smoker outside, and we had though our food would come directly off the smoker, but it didn't.  Food was a little colder than we would have liked.
