Huddle House

Very standard breakfast place, a bit over priced and we both thought everything was very greasy.  Not a place we would return to, but it was the only place to grab a quick bite before we resumed our trip after staying in a hotel.

Talk about being in the middle of nowhere! This was the only breakfast joint for miles and miles. I stopped here one morning with some co-workers on our way to a margarine factory. We are all living in the NYC area, and I felt like an alien landing on earth when we walked in, the other customers and employees stared at us like we were from mars.
The menu was good, typical of any Huddle House or Waffle House, but it makes you realize how Americans get fat.
The server was kind, and was quick to get us coffees and waters. She also let me substitute bacon for ham in my western omelet... whew! The omelet was hot and delicious. I really do not know how they make their eggs so fluffy, it can't be natural.

Was a little frightened to venture into the restrooms. Not a bad place overall. Reminds me of those nights in college I don't remember.

When the waitress learned that this was our first visit to Huddle House, she added as she walked away with our order "... and we're better than Waffle House." I would agree. But you must keep in mind that I feel that Waffle House (ironically) has lousy waffles ...
