After reading the previous review we were hesitant to try this place. Â We were very glad we did! Â It's nothing fancy, just a local bar & grill, and it was packed with locals. Â The service wasn't anything to brag about but I didn't have anything to complain about. Â The food did take some time but not excessively long. Â There were four of us and we had 2 burgers, shrimp and tips, all with the sweet potato fries. Â My sister raved about the tips! Â The shrimp was standard bar fare but seemed to be freshly battered (not frozen). Â Both burgers got good reviews. Â The sweet potato fries were great! Â They were crisp (maybe what one person may consider burned but I'm very particular about burnt food and I call them crisp). Â Most places can't get sweet potato fries right (soggy) but this place does. Â We were pleasantly surprised by the bill. Â Both couples in our party paid under $30 for their meals and 2 drinks each. Â The view of the river is an added bonus (as long as there aren't any hideous biker chicks blocking your view). Â There were only two complaints - the mixed drink ordered had too much ice and ended up watered down and the music was kind of loud (but it was a Saturday night).
