This place has the worst service.  We were there on 7/7. Got seated and waited around for almost 15 minutes.  I had to ask one of the bus boys to find out who the waiter was.  The place wasn't even 50% occupied.  The waitress was too busy chatting with her buddy and family who were at the next table.  The food quality is at best OK once it arrived.

Not planning on spending my dollars in this joint.  Plenty of other places to go in town..

We still enjoy eating here because the food is good but the restaurant is severely understaffed and the wait has gotten longer in the past few months it seems.

Had dinner on the patio last night; the food was great as always, however it took twenty minutes to get a waitress and over an hour to get a couple of sandwiches.
We were finally asked if we wanted more soda when the waitress brought the check.  A little too late!  This type of service happens every time we go there.

Just left after 20 minutes without ordering. Here are my impressions:

-they are incredibly unorganized and know it.
-they are unprepared and know it.
-they don't make much of an effort to do anything about it.

What is it with some MH establishments like Huntington and El Toro having so much potential but just failing(!) when it comes to quality of food and service. Pick it up, guys!

My favorite place on a Thursday night. I always get the steak special. Wonderful steak with mashed potatoes and great veges. Well, I just recently went to get the special and so disappointed. I was told the mashed potatoes were not seasonal(I can eat mashed potatoes everyday of the year) and the only potatoes were these hard red potato nuggets that must have been cooked  earlier in the day. So dry and hard. The steak was delicious, but covered with a horrible vinegar black sauce with swiveled mushrooms, I think they were mushrooms, that was so awful on my steak. I almost asked the waiter to take my steak back and wash that sauce off. I wiped as much of it off as i could. Why cover up a good steak . I loved cutting a piece of steak and then swiping it through the mashed potatoes. No more heavenly experience, Darn.Foiled again!

Had dinner here tonight.  I saw 2 cockroaches.  One on the wall next to our table and one on the floor.  I screamed when I saw one next to my foot.  The waitress came over,  I told her you have a cockroach problem.  She said "oh" and proceeds to kill the one on the wall with a napkin which falls on our table trying to get away.  Totally disgusting,  we paid our bill and left.  I will never go there again.  We've eaten here several times and never had a problem.

I have been here approx 8 times, I've always put up with the incredibly slow/inattentive service because the food was good and the atmosphere was fun. But today, not so much. Ordered the 'special' - a patty melt which is traditionally on grilled rye, beef patty w/grilled unions, cheese and thousand island. This beef patty was microscopic and came out on COLD un-grilled rye bread twice the size of the patty. There was about 1 onion on it and a tiny smear of thousand. Not impressed. However in the past the steak salad, apple valley salad and most of the appetizers are good.

My favorite here is their salmon sandwich. Also you cant go wrong with the salad.  I tried at least 2 different one the last couple of times ive been there and been satisfied.  The patio seating is great!

A large group of us checked out HUNTINGTON STATION on Saturday after the Morgan Hill Brew Crawl. They have a very very cool patio with a huge bar, fire pit and flat screens.

I ordered the burger with cheddar and bacon. I devoured the thing, I mean it was after 21 "tastes" of beers and several pints at Huntington. So you can imagine the carnage.

The good was good and the vibe was great! I'd definitely go back again!

    4 stars!

Horrible service.  Tried to move a table over to the dinner area outside and they denied us and made us move the table back.   Like we are doing something wrong.  We left after one beer and would have stayed if the service would have been average.  The seating on the patio is nice but the service didn't allow us to enjoy it.  Can't expect much in Morgan Hill.

This is the hottest place on a Saturday night in Morgan Hill. Lots of locals are present hanging out at the bar discussing the day's adventures. Sitting out on the patio is a must do especially during dusk as the outside temperature cools down.

We had some hot wing appetizers that were pretty good and a couple of non memorable menu items.   The server who disappeared regularly raved about the salted caramel cake so we tried it and it was dry and very average.

This is a place you go more for the buzz and less for the food which is OK sometimes.

Outdoor seating is a must, very nice back patio area with bar and small tables.
The Filet Mignon is to die for.
    Great friendly service.
    Decent price on drinks.
I was bothered by the amount of flys inside the restraunt because they kept the side and front doors open when I was there.
But the place is pretty clean and kept up

While the food was certainly good enough, and the service was the same, we had what was a perfectly nice evening on their patio outside,  until the manager ruined it.

I was one of the friends of  Monica G. who so eloquently wrote of our disastrous dinner attack at the Huntington Station Sports Pub, and let me tell you...the one little fact that Monica left out.

I went back to speak with the same Manager lady who had initially launched the full scale "attack" on our table just a few minutes before, to let her (and the owner) know that the her abrupt and confrontational manner was unappreciated and most definitely UN called for!

Since we had even finished yet, we had intentions of leaving the waitress some additional cash on the table, for her tip,  but that didn't happen since the Manager basically ruined what had been a pretty nice night, by jumping the gun, so to speak.

But when I spoke to her, she and the owner insisted that they were fully in the right.  Disguising their bad behavior behind the fact that they were basically standing up for the rights of their waitress.  After I explained to them that had they waited until we were ready to leave, they would have discovered that there would have been additional monies left for said waitress, and that they in fact were now the sole reason for her lack of tip at this point.   I then added that since they were so concerned about the waitress not receiving enough compensation,  that they should come out of pocket to make up the "difference" especially since they were directly to blame for the lack thereof.   They agreed.

I hope the management  keep to their word and pay that waitress, (although now I'm thinking that she should learn to be more patient)  but we will see.

So  be warned, unless you are prepared to leave a 20 percent tip on the card, you may be in for a visit from the management, before you even step away from your table!

A co-worker is a friend of the owner, so we went to Huntington Station for a lunch meeting one day this summer and dined in the patio.  I've lived in Morgan Hill for quite sometime but had never tried this establishment.

I was impressed with the lunch menu, prices and ambiance.  A relaxed patio with good attentive service.  I enjoyed my lunch and was impressed enough to bring my wife back for a drink and dinner about a week later.

The outdoor bar and patio is wonderful and I would imagine during the summer and fall this is a popular stop. The night we dined nearly all the bar stools were taken and it seemed like many guests were regulars who knew the staff and owner.  I'll be back again and again....good choice.

Geez....what a disappointment.  Went there on a Sunday--the place had a nice crowd, but wasn't overflowing.  Ordered from the bar 2--count 'em--2 appetizers.  Waited.  Waited.  Waited.  Waited.....the pot stickers came first.  Wife enjoyed them, but I was like, "the frozen ones from Costco are just as good...".  Finished those....waited some more....finally, the Artichoke dip arrived.  Nassteeeee!!  Looked like someone had emptied a can of artichoke pieces in a dish with a little salad dressing, then barely cooked it in the oven.  Came to our place with big, greasy, inedible chunks of artichoke swimming in an oily bath.  Yuk!  And to think we waited like ~45 minutes for this?  Sad...really sad.

Thus continues the long and dismal trend of mediocre-to-bad restaurants in Morgan Hill.

Tasty bar and grill with super-friendly service!

Husband and I were seated quickly, but given a weird high table in the corner. Would have preferred another table. Server was quick, attentive, and very friendly.

I had the A-BLT (avocado+BLT), which was tasty and perfectly toasted, but a little dry. Perhaps some mayo? Husband's burger was good and piled high with extras. Typical "bar food" accompanied restaurant-style meals on the menu.

Beer was served in an orange Giants glass which made the beer look funny. Clear glass, please.

Didn't check out the outdoor bar, but ti looked pretty cool and was hoppin' the whole time. We'll be back!

Great downtown location! I am always on the hunt for the perfect burger but sadly this place does not have it. The build your own idea is great but even with cheddar cheese, bacon and grilled onions it was still tasteless. Oh well, the search continues....
On the plus side the outdoor patio is very nice and shaded and the patio bar is a nice spot to hang out and meet up with friends for a cool one.

Okay - my quick tip about the artichoke dip appetizer is a bit brusque.  I know it.  I didn't get the hype over it.  The artichokes tasted canned (briney) and the dip itself was broken and greasy.  What really sold us on ordering it was the thought of the homemade flatbread that the menu states accompanies it.  Sadly, no flatbread.  Just tortilla chips.  The dip didn't work for us and we wouldn't order it again.  In fact, we probably wouldn't order any appetizer because we'll be skipping right to the burgers!

Wow - burger heaven!  Yes folks - burger heaven!  (I seriously think they are more a 3-star vibe of a place, but the burger was near a 5-star.)

The burger is a you-decide-what-you-want-on-it approach.  Simple and clean.  Score!  Meat was a good quality packed with lots of perfectly seasoned flavor - salt and pepper.  That's all you need.  A thick patty.  Toppings are burger basic, not fru-fru and not overly done.  For these burgers,  the meat was the star, as it should be.

Now - onto the buns:  Awesome!  I asked and apparently they use Golden Sheaf.  Remember that folks.  Ask your local grocer to start carrying those buns!  Soft, pliable and held up.  Instead of questing to bake the perfect bun now, I am questing to source Golden Sheaf!

Overall, our experience was very, very nice (appetizer aside).  As a former hometown girl, it was really awesome to see the Dowtown of old (read: bars) replaced with trendy shops, giving the Downtown a really relaxing vibe.  Can't wait to go back and spend a day exploring it all.

Okay, logistics:  Huntington Station Sports Pub is located off the main drag on 3rd Street, a little hidden on the side, but easily accessible from the free public parking lot across the street (between 3rd & 4th) and behind the buildings of Downtown.  If it's a nice day, ask for the patio.

Decent food, cheapish drinks, great location.
Not so great service. There was like 2 waitress and one bartender taking care of a super packed bar and restaurant.
Huntington Station: Hire some more servers and better bartenders. Your food cannot stand on its own. It needs cute, helpful, fast and friendly servers to make people think its good.

I had the steak salad and it was delicious.
They were short staff so that might explain the poor service but doesn't excuse it. I might give this place another chance  we'll see.

I eat here often or take it to go. My favorites are the steak sandwich and the steak salad. My son's favorite is the hamburger. When I decide to venture away from what I normally eat here it has been just as good.

The staff is always friendly and I have not had an issue with the service.

Our first visit here in May 2011 left a little to be desired. We felt the service was slow and inattentive, and sort of that lonely in a crowd feeling. However the salads that we ordered were very nice, and so we left saying we would give it another chance.

Since then, we have had 3 different parties there, one for work, and two birthday parties, none with with fewer than 12 people. Hence the 5 stars. We could not have received better, more attentive service, and the food has been impeccable.

We love the Thai sticks and any of the steak dishes. Serving a party of distracted, loud people can be a chore, and they did it perfectly each of the 3 times.

Like one of the other reviews said, it's sort of like Cheers where they all know your name. That's what has started to happen, and I have to admit it's kinda nice!

We'll be back, just the 2 of us, for the atmosphere and the food.

We absolutely love this place! The service is awesome, the atmosphere is great (i luv the all out sports theme) and the food/beer (they serve Shocktop on tap which is a fav of ours btw) is great! Oh! & the bathrooms r clean!
We love their hamburgers, quesadillas the best but everything on the menu is great! No lie!

Three of us went to this restaurant because we heard they had a great patio.  We went during Morgan Hill's Thursday Night Street Dance so it was crowded on the patio.  There weren't many people inside so we sat at the inside bar and had a few beers while we waited for a table on the patio.  Service was fine inside and you can't really mess up a beer so there were no problems.

We didn't have to wait too long for a table and ordered a couple of appetizers.  The first was Ceviche which was the worst Ceviche I've ever had.  It tasted kind of like salsa from a jar with bay shrimp added.  Then we had the Thai Beef Sticks.  I thought they were OK, but the portion was a little small.

For entrees, we shared the Pork Medallions and the Filet Mignon.  Neither dish was impressive.  After we finished, we waited for the bill, but the waitress never came.  After what seemed to be about 20 minutes, my girlfriend got up to find the waitress.  She didn't find her so asked someone inside to get the bill for us.  She was told that had to be done outside.  So, she went to the outside bar only to be told that our waitresses ticket could only be done inside.  If this had happened when I was a little younger, I likely would have just walked out.  But we waited and the waitress finally brought the bill.

The patio and the outside bar were very nice, but the food was mediocre and the service on that night was not good.  I probably would have gone with one star if it wasn't so busy.

Can I give a restaurant Zero stars because we didn't actually get to eat there?

My son (who is in a wheelchair) and his friends tried to get into Huntington Station on July 3rd during the street jam, so it was pretty crowded.  But when an employee told them that there wasn't room for somebody in a wheelchair, they left without getting in.

Really? There's no room for you because you're in a wheelchair? Even if what you were trying to say was "Gee, it's pretty crowded in there, and I don't know if you'll be comfortable in the press of people", you should let the customer in the wheelchair decide. The message of exclusion was heard loudly and clearly by my son.

There are many local restaurants that bend over backward to make my son's visits easy and pleasant. I guess we'll keep going to those other places instead.

    Worse meal ever....

I took my wife and two friends here.  It was a hot summer night, so rather than cook at home...we decided to go out to eat (rare occasion because of our kids).  We ordered some drinks and the server dropped off 2-waters for 4-adults.  Does that make any sense?  She took our order and never came around again.

I ordered the Asian chicken salad.  When the salad arrived, I noticed the lettuce was wilted and bland.  There were 4-tiny mandarin oranges on the corners of the plate, which just came out of a Safeway fresh can.  And the salad had no texture (crunch).  Apparently, the kitchen ran out of the noodles.  So...the salad tasted like coleslaw from KFC.  The chicken was dry and tasted like shoe leather with a sprinkle of rosemary.

My wife's spinach salad was also dry, wilted and the sun-dried tomatoes were super dehydrated.

My friend ordered the Asian salad and only ate a 1/4 of the meal.  His wife ordered the chicken sandwich and took it home to feed her dogs.  She said the sandwich was tasteless and dry.

We actually joked about going to the drive thru at in and out and order a real meal.

That dismal dining experience has resulted in 4-less patrons.

    As noted, worse meal EVER!!!!

I don't understand how this place can get more than a 1-star review. Unless people are rating on yelp, purely on alcohol. Or..too much alcohol = no recollection of the food quality.

Regardless, skip this place...matter of fact run away from here.

Mediocre menu and our waitress was terrible - we watched her actually walk away from another table as they were still talking to her...could she appear any more disinterested in her customers?

My boyfriend waited for 40 minutes for his burger,  REALLY?

3 Stars  for the food .
    1 Star for the service.

They have a variety of menu choices but we stuck to the basics (hamburgers and a chicken quesadillia).  Both were tasty.  I would return for the hamburgers if I were to ever return.

The bar can get quit noisy so if you want to get away from it you can sit out on the patio.

The service was disappointing.  When we wanted to order the waitress was on her cell phone with her back to us.  We had to wait until she finished chatting before she stopped by.  When we wanted our check we had to ask another waiter to help us out. as our waitress was AWOL.

I hope the owner knows that service is just as important as the quality of food.

I stopped in here based on Yelp's recommendation - and was not let down. I say 3.5 to 4 stars. I hold back because this review is based on one visit.

I was in Morgan Hill for business and wanted a proper dinner. For a small place, Huntington Station has a solid menu ranging from Pub Food to proper entrees like Chicken Piccata, Pork Chops, seafood, and the like.

The beer selection was okay, standard fare for a small bar, not much craft or microbrew representation. But that shouldn't put you off. They have a nice range of wines, too. I'm not sure about prices as I was off the drink that night.

The bar itself seats only 5-7, but the establishment is roomy enough to comfortably seat families and groups and has a nice outdoor patio replete with TV's and an outdoor bar. The whole place is pretty nice.
As far as sports bars go, I think we're getting used to having 100 TV's plastered on every surface. This is not one of those bars. They have a handful of well-placed TV's and a lot of Bay Area sports memorabilia. The vibe of the place is very chill, definitely not aggro jock or meat-market.

Anyway, I tried the Chicken Piccata, which was delish! I highly recommend it. For $18.00, it consisted of one whole chicken breast with rice pilaf and green beans. The side salad was $2.00 extra. Everything was great, the chicken was not melt-in-your-mouth - but I definitely cleaned the plate.

Dan and Christy took care of me. Dan was behind the bar, Christy was the wait-staff. Their service and attention were excellent. Dan is hilarious, very friendly, and does a great job of being the happy-go-lucky bar manager/owner. Extra points for hiring cute waitresses, too.

Based on my one experience with the place, the food, and the people,  I would certainly recommend Huntington Station.

My only note is the food prices seemed  high. $20 for an entree and a salad is a bit rich for a pub, in my opinion. The quality is definitely there, but at that price point I think they could step-up a little bit more with either portion-size or maybe tossing in the salad and being more generous with it.

Still, a great place. Morgan Hill is lucky to have Huntington Station.

Glory Days: eff you!  Won't ever pass through the threshold of your door again, not that I was welcome there anyway.

Did you ever have one of those days when you are so busy that the time for dinner comes and goes?  Well, I did.  On that dinner-less day, hot Blondie went on to describe how great Glory Day's steak salad was and that we should try it.  Now, to be factual, Glory Days posted their closing time at 9pm.  We walked in at 835pm and were turned away.  You closed 25 minutes early?  Really?  So, my money and I went elsewhere... another restaurant that "closed" at 9pm that took us and three more tables!  Imagine that!  An establishment that stayed open where the waitress got tipped and the place made some money.  So, Glory Ds, what story do you think I will be telling people about my experience the other night?

I'll start by saying that I built and ran a nice sports bar & grill on the southern coast of Thailand (the only one with 11 TVs and 6 international satellites while serving New Zealand beef on our famous burgers!), so eating in a sports bar and grill is nothing new to me. But when I went inside this place the first time it brought back memories. Just like my place, the walls were decorated with sports memorabilia and smelled of burgers and beer.

The staff there are quite friendly and promt at greeting you at the door. I took three of my collegues there for lunch last week and we all ordered something different, but we shared the very tasty onion rings. A must to try!

I had their burger and it was cooked as ordered and the fries were steaming hot. Our beverages (sodas, etc, since we were working) were constantly refilled. We even asked for separate checks and the server didn't mind at all.

Even the bathroom is decorated with sports stuff and fitted with a TV!! Now that's an idea I didn't think of in my bar! Mmmmm.

Great place for lunch and to take some friends. Watching a game is not as important as the atmosphere.

I went with a few friends on a Saturday night.  We showed up at about 8, sat down right away, and had a pleasant server experience.  We practically had the place to ourselves after 9pm, as only one other group remained there until they closed (10PM).
The food was great (I had a cheeseburger and some garlic fries), but we were a little surprised at the end when the bill came.
Our server rang our credit card through for $4 more than the original-pre-tip bill.  When we showed her she was quick to offer to take it off and re-ring it, but we just decided to put it towards her tip.

So, in summary: The food is great, the server was nice, but check your bill before you pay.

This is our favorite sports bar in MH.  The quality of the food is excellent, you can see a television from any seat in the house, and the beer is cold and perfect with their incredible burgers!

They've improved on their staffing levels from the past, and now we get really good and fast service whatever day of the week we show up.  In fact, one of the waitresses there knows my order from memory (Thanks, Desiree!)--not that I'm a creature of habit or anything...  :)

Intimate atmosphere, cold beer, sports and burgers.  What more can you ask for?

This is a nice little place - definitely a sports bar, but also family friendly. Don't expect fast service when you go (Da Hill's service sector leaves a lot to be desired - this isn't just this restaurant) but do expect some delicious food. Try the garlic fries (yum!) or the chicken quesadilla!

Sitting outside is nice when the weather is good, too.

Went here for lunch and had the tailgater burger with fries. I wasn't to happy about the price being 9.50 but when I asked about what fixins come with the burger for no additional cost the bartender said you can put whatever you want on it for the same price so that justified the price a little. I got cheddar cheese, avocado, bacon, mushrooms and grilled onions. When I got my burger about 15 minutes later it was piled high. I asked for it to be done medium but it was definitly rare. I'm not really into a rare burger (i'm not sure if anybody is) but I ate it anyway and it wasn't 1/2 bad. The fries were on the lukewarm side so all in all it wasn't the greatest but if I came back and had the burger cooked right and the fries hot I would guess it would be A-OK.

I didn't have any beer but there draft selection looked like a small handful of beers especially for a sports pub.

Must be a pretty popular place for a weekday lunch it was packed.
