Hyampom Bar & Grill

After being closed for a little while, the upper bar is open.. and I was amazed! Beautiful wood interior with a great view, free WiFi, pool table, shuffle board table, beer on tap and their own wine, good vibes, food served til 9 and open til 10. But that's not why I'm writing this review, THE FOOD WAS GREAT! BTW phone number is really 530-628-5787.
The chef made me a special dinner, vegetarian scampi, which was my choice of pasta with tons of perfectly cooked mushrooms, green onions, yellow onions, and an amazing garlicy buttery lemony cause that I practically licked off my plate. When I order a $12 pasta dish at a bar, I just assume it'll be gross, but this was well worth the price. The side salad was nothing special, but my friend got a chicken ceasar salad, it was huge and tasted great. I also got a homemade iced tea with free refills and a square of the brownish pudding cake, pretty good.
They also make pizza once a week, I stole a cold slice of a friends veggie pizza and again, amazing. Piled high with veggies but not too many and not soggy, it was perfect. I heard their burgers are grass fed beef and pretty epic.
Hyampom is only a half hour drive from Hayfork and totally worth the trip, a million times better than the supposed high class Redbud in Hayfork. I was surprised by the clean nice feeling at this place and blown away by the caring staff. Go try it!
