We came for a drag show happening (as it happened) the day before Hurricane Irene hit. I can't say much for the ambiance, but everyone seemed very friendly, and they displayed my friends' artwork there.
It isn't my scene, and if I lived closer I wouldn't be a regular, but I wouldn't talk anyone out of going there.
So many more worthwhile spots in Brattleboro than this charmless dive with terrible acoustics. No lie, I even watched one of the workers scream at a man with a seeing eye dog about standing outside. I'm not sure if I was more embarrassed for the state of Vermont or for mankind. At least it's aptly named, because I'm sure this is what THE Inferno is like. If you're looking for a lackluster night, enjoy.
