Iron Horse Pub of Durand

This place for me is really hard to rate.  First of all I think it's the only place in Durand that is open 24 hours so that there is a plus.  Their breakfast menu is great and has a lot of variety.  But I think the rest of their menu has a lot to be desired.  I got to Durand late one night after all the other restaurants were closed and was hungry.  Went to the Iron Horse and ordered chicken fingers.  What I got was a chicken breast that was breaded and cut into 4 or 5 pieces. The breading fell off all the chicken so I was left with strips of chicken covered in fat.  Totally disgusting.  I found the first garbage can I could find and tossed the whole thing out.  However I think they do make a great breakfast so that is why I'm giving them 3 stars.

Good Prime Rib, good buffets, Good breakfast served day or night. Very affordable!

I have been here a few times and the food is always pretty good. The menu is huge, everything from Walleye, Perch, Froglegs and Steaks, the locally famous Rail Burger to Burritos and the very popular Stuffed Potatoes.   Nice place to have a beer and then have a menu that isn't limited to deep fried foods; I had the baked Walleye dinner this time and it was very good.
