We have eaten at the Iron Horse Restaurant many times over the years and have never had a bad experience. Â The ambiance is wonderful and nostalgic including trains that periodically come by the restaurant to add to the Iron Horse feeling. Â The food has always been of excellent quality and beautifully presented. Â We have always had superb service from all people there who have been attentive and enthusiastic about the food and their jobs. Â While handicap access can be a challenge because of the old design of the building, the wait staff have shown us and helped us how to get our over 90 year old mother using a walker into the restaurant through the back door. Â They have always given her the utmost in attention and made her and us feel very welcome. Â We would recommend the Iron Horse to everyone who wants a unique dining experience that takes them back to a long-ago era.
Review Source:We went this past weekend for the Valentines day dinner.  I was impressed with the stuffed mushrooms!! Excellent! Salad was different but also very good. I'm not into Lobster bisques but, my husband said it was good.  Now the main course.  My prime rib had no flavor what so ever!!  I would not normally pick prime rib but, it was the only beef choice.  So I asked my husband to taste it cause he loves prime rib same opinion as mine.  NO FLAVOR at all.  Not even on the edges.  My husband said the rack of Lamb was really good though.  So maybe it was just a bad night to choose prime rib.  Desert was decent... Brownies and ice cream.  Cant go wrong there.  I was a little disappointed also that the tip was already included for  two ppl.  We tip normally 20% of the meal price if the service is good.  Our service was ok my husband had to ask every time to get his glass of tea refilled.  But, if the tip is already included why work for it.  Overall it was ok place to have dinner.  I loved the building and atmosphere!!  Very nice.  Just wish there was a step up in service and meat selections for beef eaters!  For the price I paid anyways.
