Iron Skillet

Now, I love eating breakfast food. I'm not sure why exactly, but I do. That's good enough for me. More often then not, I end up working into the wee hours of the morning and could use a bite to eat. Seeing how Findlay only has a population of 36,000, my options are limited at that time. More often than not, 2:00am breakfast is here.

The Iron Skillet is very quiet that early in the morning, which is nice to just sit and think. The night shift does their job as best they can, and I gladly eat my late night/early morning meal. It is by no means gourmet; after all, it's a truck stop diner. However, it isn't terrible. I think they would do well to introduce real maple syrup, but doubt that will happen.

The overall feel of the place is folksy, with arts and crafts adorning the walls along side pictures of yesteryear. It's not what you'd call trendy by any stretch of the imagination. However, I suppose the people who would be turned off by the setting would also not be caught dead in such a rustic restaurant as this.

Overall, it's not the best eats around, but also not deserving of the scorn I hear from my contemporaries in town.
