Skip this place and go across the street to Carl's Jr. There were over 100 flies in this place, trash EVERYWHERE, overflowing drink fountains, trash cans, the bathrooms smelled like literal shit, and they even got our order wrong. Seriously, after all of that??

    Road trips are fun.

Even better when you have good company.

The fun started when my friend and I were on our way back up from a raucous weekend down in San Diego. For the record, he had more of a raucous time than I did and paid for it partially on our trip back up (aka barfing on the side of the freeway on government land and then pretty much getting a HOO-RAH from a passing Marine, CLASSIC!)

The poor guy rested from that point on until we were about halfway up I-5. He wakes up and says that he's hungry, I see a sign for Jack In The Box and off the freeway we careen. Walk into the place, order up some food and sat down with our bounty. As we were going deep in our food we took a glance around. The people were interesting to say the least, some of which appeared as if they shared one tooth among a couple of them. I believe I made a comment that the Lost Hills Have Eyes or something to that effect. Sure it's not nice to say these things but it was only our personal observations.

With our meal done, our bellies full, we were ready to head further north. As we were driving off, tears welled up in our eyes and then we agreed that him and I will always have Lost Hills!

    END SCENE

We seem to always stop by on the way to LA on the 5. It's clean (always have to use the restroom here) and the service is okay. Food comes fast and is hot, which is what matters in a fast food place.

I was just going to comment on how their tables were dirty, but as I was typing, someone came out and started wiping them down. Daaaamn you, pre-cogs!

Otherwise a fairly standard Jack in the Box.

Way to get behind the 1.00 soda Jack!!!

For too long when I am in a rush I have let the kids have an opinion, no more!!!

I'll take two bacon cheeseburger Jr's, four tacos, one chicken sandwich, two jack hamburgers, three bottles of water and one ginormous diet coke- because I'm watching my weight!

Located off the 5, next to a bunch of gas stations. Good for a pit stop if you're going to and from SF and LA.

Typical Jack in the Box.  Nothing special except that it's located right across the cheapest gas on Highway 5 between Los Angeles and San Francisco!  So if you stop by the ARCO, might as well cross the street and get a Sourdough Jack!

Pit stop time on the road to San Diego and Jack's seemed like a good choice since it was right next to the gas station.  That, and it's just about my buddy's favorite fast food joint in the world.

My friend and I shared a fish sandwich meal, 2 croissant sandwiches, and 4 tacos (we're fatties!).  I haven't had their tacos in a long while but they definitely hit the spot.  The fish was tasty too and apparently one of the least bad things on the menu.  The breakfast sandwiches were good as well.  Heck, it was all good.

Service on the other hand was slow and they messed up the order.  The restaurant was fairly updated and pretty clean as well. Overall it wasn't half bad and it was just nice to get some food in our bellies.

    Food: 7/10

    Service: 4/10

    Price: $

    Atmosphere: 5/10
