I'm back with a different perspective on Jack Rabbits, this time not focused on the nightlife, but on the Sunday NFL viewing. This place used to be a weekend haven for my friends & I, but we've since moved on a tad from our visits here & don't go as often.
They have changed quite a bit since we used to frequent it, with a new patio outside greeting you when you walk in. But the biggest & best change has to be to the new bar area, where they took out a wall & made the main bar an island bar. Seating now wraps around it & there are flat screen tvs encircling it as well. It makes Jack Rabbit's feel so much more like a sports bar & really was a nice, needed renovation.
But the main reason my friends & I went here was the NFL Sunday Ticket package they have now. The entire place now shows every NFL game every week, & quite a few people show up to watch their favorite teams that normal cable just won't show. The Panthers game is always the main attraction, even though the Dolphins are my team, so the main tv always has them on. But you have every game surrounding you as you sit & watch, & management is great about switching a game if you can't see it too well from your seat.
Along with the NFL viewing, they have $.40 wings, yes $.40 wings. You can't beat that anywhere, & while they may not be the best in town, they're still worth it for a $4 meal (10 wings minimum).
So Jack Rabbit's is turning more & more into the sports bar it should be & if you're looking for a good place to watch the games on a Sunday, then head here for some wings, booze, & NFL action.
