Jack Ranch Cafe

We stopped here on our way home to sacramento. My husband loves James dean and he wanted to stop by the memorial to take some pictures. We decided to eat at the restaurant and it was okay. This is definitely a burger place, get the burger and fries! I read also that the pies were good, but we didn't buy any. The ambience is a little creepy with James dean photos everywhere, our waitress was nice and quick! I figure they get people wanting to get in and out and on their way. Good novelty place!

Fun place on Hwy 46 between the Central Coast and Central Valley, aka "James Dean Highway" close to where he was in a car crash and passed.  Good place to stop for a lunch while on the drive, better than fast food, that's for sure!  Sandwiches and fries and such.  Tons of history.  A divey place that will leave you satisfied and smiling.  You get what you expect, nothing to write home about culinary wise but it is a fun down-home divey roadside diner.

I really really hate to write negative reviews and try to find something good everywhere I go.

The only positive thing about this place was it was the ONLY place for 30 miles in either direction!  

Total coffee shop gone cheap.  Portions were small and quality was poor.

The staff were very nice but you could tell that the kid in the back cooking the food was maybe the owners son or something with a Hawaiian shirt. No hat. No uniform or chefs coat.

Other reviews bragged about the pie but it was not anything special.

Besides being the only place to eat, this place was terrible.
