Aweosme Friday Night Band set (my fourth visit). My girlfriends and I usually end up dancing around a little bit by the end of the night and we absolutely love it! The food/drinks are always slamming (when they finally come out) But still I drag my friends/family 30 mins away to support this business because it's a quite inpressive looking spot, considering it's in Paterson :-/
Unfortunately this past Friday I was appalled by the outrageous behavior of the owner when he accussed me and my family of "scamming his establishment" by sending back 3 orders of "fishy tasting/smelling catfish". The food has always been amazing in this spot but the owner was clearly unable to handle our respectful dissapproval and after much discussion, accusations and embarrassing insults to us about black people trying to get free meals, he comp'ed our bill and put our table of four OUT! Honestly, I initially thought if our server had been better trained she would have offered us something else and our issues would never have escalated but in retrospect, having endured that surprising level of ignorance, I now understand that this outcome was inevitable. Again, the staff is delightful, music is great and the food usually tasty but the "service" in this place stinks so bad that it almost overpowered the fishy-fish dinner I was served that particular night and that will undoubtedly cause challenges in the future... and for that, I wouldnt go back in this place even if I had left my purse!

Let began to say that my visit to Jacksonville was great! I heard about this place, but I needed to see for myself.............The place is beautiful inside, its was big with waterfalls, and a nice outside patio for the summer time! nice dance floor. Â What caught my eye was the dome room upstairs...............(OOOOOOOOOOOOOOh la la) Â Â We went on a Saturday, had a ball. The DJ was playing some music from the 80's but a little later on that night this female came in and started rocking the club music. Â The food was delicious from the ribs, to the smothered chicken, also had great appetizers! Â Our waitress, Ms. Sharda was very friendly, she did her thang...........keep up the good work. Â TWe are still talking about this place! Â Will definitely be back the next time I'm up in Jersey!.......... LOVE IT!!!!! Â chef put his foot in the food!
Review Source:Awesome Friday Night band and food was great once it finally came  out I had a personal party late March and scheduled a party for a client in April.  The April birthday party was worse than April I figured they would have worked out the kinks.. Poor customer service starting at the front door its just no cohesiveness. If you can over look those things you are good. Making reservations for large group means nothing!
Beautiful inside and a great Shuttle to parking area, hopefully they have worked out their issues from last year, so to be fair I will say they were OK but reading newest reviews it seems like they have issues.
I was invited here for a good friends birthday celebration.
Per the invite, our ages and the occasion , I took the grown and sexy dress code as any of us girls would. However, the closer we got , the more and more uncomfortable and unprepared I felt. I have traveled to Paterson before, but always during the day and in the same location ( family member visits )
They have a parking lot which is just about one block, maybe two away. They also provide a shuttle from the lot to the lounge, which I think is great but I'd be lying if I said it didnt concern me they'd rather drive patrons than have them walk ( or maybe this is only for private events, in which case....awesome!! )
Now that that is out of the way, this place is beautiful. The exposed brick and lighting instantly makes you feel cozy and sexy. The bar area is spacious and the bartender we had for the night was the perfect balance of heavy handed and thoughtful ( about your liver )
There is a small dim lit hallway that leads to the back area. The first thing you notice is the stage. Live shows must be  wonderful here. There is also a small space opposite the stage ( above the dining area ) for a DJ ( which by the way, for a Wednesday night was AMAZING ) Â
As I mentioned, this was a private party, so the meal was buffet style set up in the adjoining room.
I had a blast, the food was pretty tasty ( meatballs, chicken wings, mac n cheese, salad, veggies ) but as it was a party and AC was super high, it was tough for food to stay hot/warm.
I'd absolutely come here again for a party or for a drink.
This is a really nice place and very entertaining with an amazing ambiance. Surprised me since It's in Paterson.
I went during one of the open mike nights on Friday and wanted to express some improvements I thought should be made to a place with such potential.
* The servers need to be trained better. The girl serving us didn't have a pen and had to borrow one from us, had to repeat our order more then once, our food took an hour to come out, and she messed up on a couple orders. I am not sure if there were not enough servers or if she just needed more training. She was very nice which is the only reason I didn't ask to speak to the manager.
* The band and singers is amazing but as an open mike I thought that most of the performances would be from the people who signed up. Come to find out it was really just a concert by the lead singer and a sprinkle of those who signed up. She was an amazing singer but I just wish that she let a lot of other people on stage.
This place is so nice and has lots of potential but their are some key things that need to be improved upon.
This place is located in downtown Paterson. I bought a Groupon months ago and finally went last night. The food was to die for! I had shrimp and grits and my husband had barbeque ribs. We started off with wings. Â We met the owner chef and found out that they have parking about 5 blocks away with a shuttle to and from. We will definitely go back. Â The staff was so nice.
Review Source:As other have said, you wouldn't expect the inside from the outside. Really big inside with a big back room that is used mostly for Wed/Fri night jazz sessions. (On most days at lunch you will be seated in front off the bar.) Outdoor area in season. Room for dancing and groups and a very nice upstairs room with a glass dome (look on their website).
Menu is southern style food and all the items we had were good - lots of fried (deep fried green beans!) but also a selection of burgers and pastas at dinner.
They have a private lot a few blocks away and a shuttle used in weekends and for events - otherwise it's street parking, so you'd better be more proficient at parallel parking me than suburban me.
This place is awesome. You have to check out the live performances/ open mic's they have on Friday nights. My boyfriend and I have been plenty of times. It's a great date night spot, celebrate a special event in your life, or just kick it with friends. The food is awesome every time and the service is outstanding. I agree with the other reviewer that stated the location isn't that appealing, but its definitely worth the trip.
Review Source:Hmm.. hidden jewel? Perhaps. My friend told me about this place (and she knew about it because the owner is her neighbor). We went for my birthday gathering and had the whole spot ourselves. The restaurant seems pretty cool, the inside is nice but I didn't love the surrounding outside area.
The staff was quite friendly and the food was really good. I ordered chicken & waffles for the first time ever and loved it. I also sampled one of the pasta dishes (THUMBS WAY UP!!).
I would definitely go back but they probably need a little more publicity to attract more business because I had no idea it existed even though I live in Paterson.
Came here for a friend's birthday party. This is a music venue that also has a restaurant, they don't normally open for business unless there's a show, from what i gathered (???), being that the entire restaurant was empty and not one table was set with any silverware, glasses, or napkins and it was 8:30pm on a Saturday night (!) and half the lights of the dining area were off. Wierrrrd.
The menu was Southern, the standard stuff, catfish, BBQ ribs, chicken -n- waffles, mac n cheese, and other things like pasta dishes and burgers. Surprisingly good food.
I sampled a Catfish salad, macaroni and cheese fritters, crab cake bites, a cheeseburger, and a pasta dish with a cream sauce and spinach...all were good.
They need some time to come into their own here...nicely designed restaurant considering the state of affairs of downtown Paterson across the street from jailhouse. They apparently get some really good music performers here that bring people from all over the tri-state area.
